Shadowcaster is for battlecry effect i thing, and Herald Volazj is for deathrattle -.-

Pretty much that, but you can also use it well with deathrattle creatures, for a price of 1 mana (which is not hard to pay). Meanwhile Herald Volazj could get more than 1 copy of a card, but how often will that happen.

Shadowcaster is for anything and Volazj is only for deathrattle/end turn effects.

Priest has more tools to play longer control games than Rogue does, so the minions being copied are likely to be stronger.

Don't forget that this can target another Shadowcaster, and with a 1-mana Shadowcaster, you can say hello the the unfair (1) 1/1 Malygos from that one Tavern Brawl.

Looks like a few of the classes not known for value decks are getting special attention (shaman, rogue, and Hunter)

So far the strongest cards in this set have been class minions, mostly Commons as well. 

I'd say rogue, shaman, and Hunter have been given more tools to make value decks then the last 2 expansions combined.

Now if they'll only fix mistcaller and make him a 5-5 or cost 5-mana and shaman will be much better. I still haven't figured out why mistcaller and fizzlebang are 4/4's when mysterious challenger is a 6/6.... Aren't legendaries supposed to be better? Otherwise why spend $ to buy packs and craft them if they are all going to SUCK??

I absolutely love this card. I'm too tired to come up with all the sick combos it has, even with itself, but I know they exist. And I know someone will find a deck to put this in that will work. I think.

Shadow caster on Shadow caster, then Shadow Caster on Shadow Caster, Shadow Caster on Shadow Caster, Shadow Caster on Shadow Caster, Shadow Caster on Shadow Caster, then FINALLY Shadow Caster.

So I copy Brann Bronzebeard, reduce it with Emperor Thaurissan or save a The Coin, play Brann Bronzebeard + C'Thun and then quietly leave the room.

That C'Thun with Brann would do a total of two damage, because it's a 1/1 copy.

Very smart.

The Brann is a 0 mana 1/1, not the C'thun

The devs already said that the c'thun buffs are bound to the player.

Well crap. now i have to start playing Rogue....

Another excellent addition to Rattle Rogue. A good epic for Rogue, who would have thought?
