I've played this guy like four times and he's killed himself every time.
Still hoping it'll pay off someday.
This is one of my favourite cards of the new Expansion. its like the new Unstable portal. i won So many games by playing this. Free Brawls, Free concecrations, free carddraw, free mirror image, free mindgames.
Put this in a C'thun "let's just bash some cards together in a C'thun deck"
First game, play it at turn 5 on a board with 2 enemy minions, none of mine. It polymorphs itself, GG.
Removed from deck not to return until I make a YOLO roulette deck.
Got lucky in a recent game after using this guy. He cast Renounce Darkness, I retained my hero power and all my mage cards had their costs reduced by 1. By far the most useful effect I've gotten so far.
I had that happen to me once, but it was my 2nd casting of renounce darkness and it went back to mage and my cards were reduced, was amazing.
Thats not how renounce darkness works. Any non warlock cards aren't affected and your hero power is replaced. Either an early bug or a lie.
So I'm playing Yogg mage and I'm doing pretty well so far. Decide to play my Servant of Yogg-Saron on curve.
> Astral Communion
Coulda been a shadowblast to the servent
I played this card, he casted Shadowflame himself on an empty board. Value.
No more board clears left and summons this guy.
Casts Elemental Destruction.
Doesn't even overload.
mage getting some warlock tier class cards
Hmm. Not good in constructed, but probably OK in Arena. Certainly worse than Etherial Conjurer, but might actually be surprising.
He is NOT GOOD IN ARENA, first two times i played him he fireballed himself, second time astral communion
or straight lose your enemy game
a stupid rng system
This card is too op, people will just play molten giant decks where they play Servant of Yogg-Saron, it will cast Holy Wrath on the opponent and deal 20 damage with Molten Giant.
C'mon, everyone knows that you're 99% more likely to Holy Wrath > Molten Giant your own face.
playable if it was 5/5, the 5/4 body dies to most 4-drops and the spell, because it is just one, won't be that impactful in most of the cases
and no, i actually think yogg-saron is really good, because it will cast a big amount of spells, which may give you the burst you needed to take the game, or maybe the survive ability to survive the next turn to find the one card that will win you the game, or just destroy the advantage that the other player had with spells like flamestrike, vanish or twistling nether, for example.
yes, this card won't kill you like yogg-saron might, but the chances of the servant winning you the game are almost null.
then what is so cool in otks like savage roar + force of nature, where people can't do shit most of the times against it, they only know it is coming?
yes, this card is bad, but if everyone played otks, trolden would be right now below a bridge begging for people to play random cards, together with some people who like for their games to have variety and for them to be excited about what might happen when they play the next deck.
and no, yogg-saron is good.
Because it's fun. But the annoying thing is that a lot of fun and random cards are viable. I think they should just fit in some specific decks that are just for fun and not for winning.
