Assuming you have exactly all of those cards and your opponent does nothing.
Do you know the probability of getting the exact 9 cards you need out of a pool of 30 cards? It's far lower than you would expect.
I think I might be hating this card. 2X Flash Heal, 2x Mind Blast, and this card = 20 damage with 8 mana. Sounds like a Savage Roar and Force of Nature combo which hopefully will be nerf and there is a reason for it being nerfed. Granted, you need more cards for the priest combo but definitely possible. In other words never go below 20 health against a priest.
5 card combo and each card does nothing on its own in terms of board control vs 2 card combo that each piece can be used as removal if need be. Big big difference.
That's a 5 card combo... If some one can make a deck that consistently make that 5 card combo work and still deal remaining 10+ damages before or after, then they deserve to win the game.
Going Embrace the Shadow into Circle of Healing is almost the same as Elemental Destruction but cost 1 less and no overload. It is almost as good as Ysera Awakens which would easily be a 6 mana card on its own.
1 less damage and its a two card combo rather than a single card
yes but ysera cards a deliberately overpowerd just look a Emerald drake 4 mana 7/6, nothing comperes to that. So for a card to potentially be almost the same as a card that if it was a collectible would be broken, means it can be very powerful in the right circumstance and is probably better for the job than Auchenai Soulpriest as it is 4 mana and only leaves a 3/1 on the board which is equivalent to a 1 mana card so you get less value, though for conventional play Auchenai Soulpriest is still better.
I LOOOVE IT <3 this is what i need 2 mana board clear with Circle of Healing or face damage with the new healbot and Flash Heal
It's nice in tha it doesn't require Auchenai, however not only Auchenai is a great body, you spend a card and then you need more cards to spend for effect.
this IMO is a good tech card for priest, instead of you wasting your auchenai's using circle of healing, just for them to be probably killed next turn to pings, you can use this early game for the combo and play your auchenais later in the game to finish off the other player.
Or you can play one in the late game if you end up losing your auchenais to combo down the enemy.
Literally the only situation where this is better than Auchenei Soulpriest is in the Profit Velen + Malygos deck and it will be a dead card the whole game plus the addition of having to combo it with flash heals which will also be dead cards, so it's not very good. And you didn't even need to combine those spells because you already have enough burst to 1 hit KO your opponent with the Holy Smites and Mind Blasts. Pretty disappointed by this card
1. Play Profit Velen
2. ?????
3. Legend 1
This just prevents being forced to use Auchenai Soulpriest to do the Circle of Healing board clear. Also this now allows a T2 priest board clear. Totally an anti aggro card.
Also it allows a player to use Flash Heal, Zombie Chow, Corrupted Healbot and others for even more damage when on your turn.
Oh my god, combo priest better than ever!
With this card we can save Auchenai Soulpriest while doing Circle of Healing combo, I love it already
Auchenai Soulpriest > Embrace the Shadow
Depends on what you're doing.
What if this is a hint at nerfing Auchenai, if Blizzard feels that this type of effect shouldn't be persistent so they made this spell to "replace" Auchenai?
Pretty decent, 2 mana Auchenai, fair enough you don't have the body but auchenai's die pretty quickly anyway. This will free up more mana for a turn 10, 22 damage to face combo. The double flash heal, double light of naaru = 16 damage then forbidden healing for an addition 8 damage is insane. Couple this already dealt damage from mind blasts or some spell power increases on board it could very easily be a turn 10 lethal.
Forbidden Healing is a Paladin card... so your combo is only relevant if you Thoughtsteal it I guess...
But Embrace the Shadow into Flash Heal x2 into Light of the Naaru x2 into Mind Blastx2 sounds fun.
