I love the card image
It seems it will be a combo piece, using this as a removal with another spell is too much loss of card advantage and tempo.
I meant for this post to be placed in the group of posts as the quoted posts were. Why did it not do that?
Kinda wish this card read This turn only your healing effects damage enemy characters instead
I actually think this has more use than just OTK.

You need way more card draw. I'd recommend Wild Pyromancers, Northshire Clerics, and Acolyte of Pains. These will also help you have any sort of board pre-turn 6. I'm not overly fond of shadow word death or pain, but I dont know what else would replace Deathlord
Yea there is only 5 cards needed for the combo the rest should strictly be card draw and aoe's . The deck does not have enough tempo to be playing cards like Corrupted Healbot which in most cases will not live or might not be killable the turn that you play Embrace the Shadow.
Not to mention that you cant rely on the combo itself to win every time. Sometimes all you've got is 10 or 20 from Velen and you need a way to chip them down.Alexstrasza is a good addition as well

Perfect turn 10 curve into Forbidden Shaping > Ragnaros, Lightlord
This is strictly worse than Auchenai in value, so it's really only useful for OTK deck, or possibly some kind of new tempo priest archetype.
So.....why are they trying to invent another OTK deck? They have repeatedly said that OTK decks are unfun to play against. Do they really just not know what they are doing?
Maybe there'll be more synergy to this other than OTK
Well, Velen's a hilarious card that needs more play, so anything that gets him into the meta is good in my book. But no, I think having the effect only for one turn is actually really valuable in a control deck. I mainly play Control Priest, and there's been a lot of times when I don't want to play Auchenai late game, despite the massive Circle value, because if the opponent leaves it up I'd lose my hero power heal for at least a turn. And in fatigue, that's lost me games. I've cut Auchenai from a few of my decks purely because of this (and with Circle otherwise being a dead card). Being able to play the Circle clear and not risk the Auchenai losing me the game seems, frankly, brilliant.
Comboing with a 2 mana card vs comboing with a 4 mana card, bearing in mind that your soulpriest also dies pretty quick when you board clear with circle of healing.
Nice synergy with Forbidden Healing, if it was only a priest card.. In turn 10, you could Embrace the Shadow + Forbidden Healing for 16 damage face. Like Pyroblast + Fireball together.
it's a paladin card...
Forbidden Healing is a Paladin card
He said "If it was only a priest card", so he knows its a paladin card guys
