After opening a Boogeymonster and Nat the Darkfisher (aaaargh) I got this guy. Wasn't sure what to think, but.... turns out he fits C'Thun decks preeeeeeeeetty well. I'm keeping him.

I think this guy's been underestimated, this body with the untargetable effect is such a huge threat. I like to think of him as a giant Spectral Knight, but with that said he's only got +1/+3 over the knight's body and for 4 more mana... Gotta agree with the other guys here and say Soggoth should have been 8 mana.

Makes it 6-12 and I will be more than happy to play it, makes it a 8-mana and I shall at least be ok with it, but to match the theme I think they should actually add some interaction with the old gods

First impressions: Surprisingly not THAT bad. Ridiculously expensive, of course, but that 'Can't be Targeted' means quite a bit. No Entomb, no Fireball, Polymorph, Hex, so on. Still overpriced, but not as overpriced as I'd feared. Passable until I find something better to fill his slot.

Let's hope you are right, opened him and I don't want to dust him. He lacks 1-2 health point imo

Shame it doesn't have selective shroud. Healing it back up is gonna be difficult. If it did one more thing, it would be really good.

The can't be targeted ability is worth more the better the minion you put it on. The more threatening and dangerous it is, the more your opponent wants to kill it with removal and not with smaller, less efficient minions. So the ability's value or expected mana cost is relative to the size of the minion.

I just realized the synergy with Bolster. A 7/11 that can't be targeted could present a huge problem for your opponent, plus there are tons of other taunt minions being released this expansion. Sign me up for Taunt Warrior!

You know TGT had problems if you realize that this guy even at his cost will see 100x more play than Bolf Ramshield.

He is definitely interesting one. Not sure if his stats will make him see some play, but they at least tried to be little creative.

In a Control deck there are going to be many targets for Ironbeak Owl. If you drop this guy late and your opponent doesnt have a silence waiting for him, it will really give you tempo

Soggoth is Brode's favorite card. :)

There are answers to every card, get used to it.  It has obvious synergy with Yogg-Saron, Hope's End.

Well... most of people, in turn 9, already used all silence cards in taunt minions/debuff/etc.

The decks will need more silencers ... otherwise this card can see some play. =D

It's also safe from Big Game Hunter

Ben Brode has confirmed that Ironbeak Owl (and Big Game Hunter) do not fit into the mold of Standard, and will therefore be nerfed in some way. But Soggoth the Slitherer won't need to worry about that pesky owl any way you slice it.
