NOT ANYMORE, BABY! HAHAHAHAHA
(Okay yeah it kind of still is cheap but let me have my moment)
So this is basically Captured Jormungar with taunt and cannot be targeted by spells or hero abilities. Is that worth 2 extra mana?Considering this creature is also a legendary. I think not. This should be 8 mana creature.
I agree that while this card could potentially be 8 mana and be acceptable in terms of balance, I think you underestimate how powerful a combination of Taunt and the Faerie Dragon effect is. It pretty much prevents it from being Polymorphed, Hexed, Entombed or hit by hard removal or even just damage, which needless to say can be a HUGE annoyance. The only bad thing is that it can't be the target of friendly Hero Power usage (which is ALMOST only in Priest) or your own buffing spells, but if you're running this card, you probably won't be running too many of those cards. It's also safe from Big Game Hunter so even if he doesn't get nerfed, it still has that going for it.
no one gave a shit about the shrouded mech taunt we already have
always save an abusive with bgh
what? If you can, your opponent can do it too..What's the point
This guy should have more health, cost less mana or at least have "cannot be silenced".
opening a precedent for "cannot be silenced" seems like a verrry precarious position for future cards
Most of people already used his silence minions at turn 9.
I feel like this card may surprise us when it comes out. People are comparing it to the 2/5 Mech with taunt, but what made that card really bad was the 2 atk. 5 atk on a minion with taunt is huge. 9 mana seems expensive, but this guy is going to be a huge pain to deal with unless you play with the Black Knight.
I play heavy control priest/warrior. I really like this cards concept but as it is now, i wouldnt include it in any of my decks. All things considered, i find it very weak for 9 mana. I would play it at 7 mana though.
Which card stops any of this cards?
Only the Mage secret.
I don't think this is a bad card. 2 mana more than a Captured Jormonger for Taunt and Hexproof isn't horrible. However, as far as legendaries go, this is by far one of the most BORING legendaries in the game.
It's unplayable at this cost. 8 would have been good and it would not have been broken. 9 is just too much to pay for a card like this.
He's good, but is he worth a turn? Would you play him over other good 9-drops, such as Ysera? Depends on the deck you're playing, really. I sort of wish he had Choose One: Stealth or No Stealth so you could buff him or play him immediately.
If somehow you couldn't tell from that ramble, I do like this card, but it could have some improvements.
Decent card imo, good for protecting certain valuable minions and for blocking face combos like FoN and Savage Roar (yes I know it will probably be nerfed). The 5 attack means it won't just take the dmg without returning any value. The few counters are stuff like The Black Knight, which is a meta call and not as nearly as popular as other removal like BGH (yes, this will likely be nerfed too)
Speaking of absorbing damage without returning value... he's almost like a Bolf Ramshield who can actually fight back, wow!
well this guy is at least weak against poison. :)
The Dream
Taunt usually has value of 1 mana, the targeted by spells thing usually costs one mana. So its a 7 mana 5/9
