yes
Seems like a better version of Argent Squire for warlocks, works better with a bunch of cards like Knife Juggler, Void Terror, Twisting Nether (and Brawl), Power Overwhelming, etc
are there any situations where it isn't better (apart from divine shield specific effects that nobody plays)?
I guess argent squire stays in its position for dire wolf and stuff, while this card would summon a new one on the right..
actually it should summon the 1/1 in the same spot as the villager
Living Roots is cleared by any and all AoE whereas this can take AoE and still be on the board. This also has huge synergy with Power Overwhelming like you mentioned so I would argue that for what they do at turn 1 they are about the same, but later in the game I feel that this performs better than Living Roots because of the synergy it has. The only time I would say that Roots is better is if you need a 2 damage ping or if you're running miracle/malygos druid which is very rare.
So... is demon synergy dead?
As soon as I saw this card, I was reminded of this:
Now they've made a better card, Blisterpod is colorless and the token can be used for mana at any time.
still the best one drop i own 15 copys of :)
Lol they were too busy freaking out over Eye of Ugin and Eldrazi Temple breaking Modern because of all the new low cost eldrazi.
The deathrattle could be more valuable than an argent squire depending on when the deathrattle activates with another minion. I.e. If a huge toad has 1 hp and you kill it, then if both minions die and the huge toad's deathrattle activates first and flings its 1 damage at an enemy, it won't be able to target your 1/1 shadowbeast, which will spawn after the huge toad's deathrattle. Whereas an argent squire could die from huge toad's deathrattle.
Deathrattle: Summon two Jazz Hands!!!
No new cards for almost 3 days!! I feel possessed..
Thanks
So I heard Lady Gaga finally arrived in Azeroth...
This card should be called "Fabulous Villager"
I don't understand why so people think this card is either decent or good. This card is basically on point with Argent Squire, and you wouldn't want both cards in your deck.
There's some fairly minor synergies in Warlock. Power overwhelming will still kill an Argent, where as this will leave you with a 1/1. Mortal coil can draw you a card and leave you with a 1/1. This being a class card means that it gets replaced by Renounce Darkness whereas Argent wouldn't. Void terror can eat this thing for a total of 5/5 stats between two cards, rather than a single 4/4 and nothin else. I'm not saying any of these things are great or that Argent doesn't have its own advantages, but there are differences.
The first and most reliable way to determine whether a villager is possesed or not is determined by answering the following question; did they gain sick looking dance moves and crazy blue eyes overnight?
This villager looks like he's about to preach to me about GMOs.
