Card Clarifications
- Yogg's Battlecry effects all potential targets, including your own hero. (Source)
- Yogg is able to hit himself with the spells cast. If he dies during the Battlecry, it will still continue. (Source)
- This is no longer the case. If Yogg kills himself, the spells stop.

Well I've played against a lot of people playing this random card and I laughed my ass of every time. You can't really take this card seriously. It's WAY too random to be reliable.
How is a 70% chance of helping you on every spell he casts "WAY too random to be reliable"? To me, it's been OP beyond any other card I've seen in HS yet. Honestly, where else have you seen a card that basically has: "Battlecry: If you know how to play this card, get a 80% chance to win the game"
The reason it didn't work too good for the people you played against is because they don't know how to play this card. There's quite a lot of skill involved in counting how many spells you've played and choose the right moment to play it. That's what makes the difference between this card having a 80% chance to win, a 60% or a 30%. Overall, I'm willing to say that it's one of the hardest cards to play in the entire game, random as it seems first glance.
LOL, I just played a priest against this Yogg mage and I was almost dead. He played Yogg and it healed me with Shaman healing spell twice and killed all his minions and discarded all his cards! I won in a few turns!
Funniest card!
After playing around with this for a bit, I conclude that it's the worst card since Millhouse Manastorm.
When it's done causing a minor amount of chaos and being randomly funny, you realize you've just spent 10 mana for a 7/5. Except when it mulches itself, in which case you've just spent 10 mana to give your opponent a Tirion, because of course.
0/10, would not recommend.
well you have bad luck and this card is super useful and fun won me most of my games by giving me a full hand when i have none 5 secrets full board buffs them gets rid of my oppenents board and kills them
Just got a double Yogg Saron out with Brann up and Thassiuan on board as well,
oh my it was beautiful.
Playing a spell heavy Yogg deck try to cram the cheap spells. There are so many spells with card draw effects in the game that you really want your hand to be mostly empty when playing this. and when you are still some ways from fatigue. And when you don't have a board cos anything in play will likely die. The best strat I've seen for playing this so far.
In the last two games I've had a pyroblast and a fireball to the face....
Warrior card. Most likely you will hurt the board, get cards and get armor. Use it if you are losing the board!
just mind controlled c'thun, best rng in cardstone i ever had
This card saved me when i have no chance to win.
You know a card is bad when you're actually happy most of the time when you're opponent plays it. It's good fun, but rarely have I seen it put the player in a net positive situation. I generally don't like effects that are out of my control and can be this sweeping. But this card just seems a bit on the ridiculous side - I mean it's clearly not designed for me. But I've seen it destroy so many games that I'm convinced it's just actively bad, even if the first 90% of the spells were positive it doesn't take much to put you in the negative.
This card is bad
When trying to make a consistent competitive deck you are correct. However this card is probably the most fun card from the set IMO and is going to make it into most of my decks.
A card can be fun and yet still terrible. This card can lose you the game 50% of the time. I saw one person get a full board of minions, +2/+2 buffs, lots of cards and everything - and then came the twisting nether as one of the last cards and he lost. Like seriously really fun to watch, but I would not want to rely on this for any game that has any importance attached to it.
This card is incredibly inconsistent, has a high cost for the statline, and not competitive in the slightest. I'm not going to argue with that.
However, the comedy value from Yogg is beyond incredible. And that to me is the best part of Hearthstone, the enjoyment factor. As such, I think this card is amazing!
best fucking card in the game. HANDS DOWN
I just pulled it from the free packs and Im having a blast. I used it against a 4 hp left priest and he starfall'd my face about 3 times. Thought I was going to lose. Then he holy wrath and frostbolted the priest.
I am going to have lots of funny times with this guy!
