I was really hoping this was going to be a murloc card when I saw the art a few weeks back. Now I'm just disappointed. At least LoE brought some interesting murloc mechanics back since GvG's murlocs were pretty lame.
That was exactly my thought. Don't they have removal from LoE besides their decent amount of basic/classic card removal? I don't know that Blizz is being very creative with this. Besides, mages in Warcraft are the one with all the aoe.
Also... did control priest need any more help? They didn't seem to be hurting THAT much from the standard change.
when LoE goes out this will help i believe
Well, Lightbomb is a huge loss for Priest, especially the Control variant. Velen's Chosen and Dark Cultist are also tough losses.Shrinkmeister wasn't played too much but still was part of a few high level decks.
Made thinking in standard mode because AOE.
We will lost Lightbomb - wich is better :(
hmmm...can't I just keep my lightbomb?
This thing would be okay-ish... if two of our own most powerful cards weren't Museum Curator and Northshire Cleric! I wouldn't mind rebuilding the deck to not include 2 atk drops, but those two are so vital.
Poor priest, another bad card... :(
It could be good if a card that lowers the attack of multiple minions is released.
This card combo-ed with Leeroy is so completely broken omg blizzard.
Even card art show - how bad this is goint to be for murlock decks
and for aggresive decks that might be " a card that might ruin everything"
and by the way - did priest get 3 shadow word?
Perhaps let's do an initial analysis on this new card, in Standard format. With the cards so far (excluding Old Gods expansion), there should be about ~136 cards. Higher value targets stand at ~14%, and a combined amount stands at ~35%, on the list below (could be more with new cards from Old Gods, but expect +5% only).
So basically the value of this card may be a little underwhelming, at 4-mana cost. Unless with some other Priest combos (i.e. maybe upcoming new cards?), which is still not a good idea because it will cost you more mana to "clear the board" (not really clearing if there are 3-attack or more minions on board).
But still, if it clears/removes this high value ones for you, it may still win you games. Hope this helps!
Higher Value Target (that people would probably play more) (~19 so far):
Wobbling Runts
Acolyte of Pain
Brann Bronzebeard
Flamewaker
Imp Gang Boss
Bloodmage Thalnos
Darnassus Aspirant
Armorsmith
Dire Wolf Alpha
Doomsayer
Flametongue Totem
Wyrmrest Agent
Northshire Cleric
Mana Wyrm (if not buffed >2)
Tunnel Trogg (if not buffed >2)
Harvest Golem
Scavenging Hyena (if not buffed once)
Gurubashi Berserker (if ever comes to more play in Standard)
Tundra Rhino (if comes to more play in Standard)
Average Targets (not so much of a threat, more of aggro) (~29 so far):
Defender of Argus
Tournament Medic
Maiden of the Lake
Bloodmage Thalnos
Cruel Taskmaster
Dark Peddler
Garrison Commander
Ironbeak Owl
Jeweled Scarab
Loot Hoarder
Museum Curator
Novice Engineer
Abusive Sergeant
Argent Squire
Sir Finley Mrrgglton
Twilight Whelp
Dragon Egg
Leper Gnome
Voidwalker
Argent Protector
Gnomish Inventor
Keeper of the Grove
Argent Horserider
Old Murk-Eye (if not buffed by other murlocs)
Coldlight Oracle
Coldlight Seer
Bluegill Warrior
Questing Adventurer (if not buffed, but unlikely it won't)
Blackwing Technician (if not buffed, but unlikely it won't)
Good point, but Old Murk-Eye isn't gonna be in standard.
Rip OTK paladins in standard
WoW another mass removal for priests. Who would think of that? >.<
BTW, it seems powerful. Very powerful. Either the zoo decks will be utterly destroyed or they will get so agressive that by the end of t3 you are dead already.
Not quite boring, but pretty bad in constructed. I wouldn't play it over shadomadness or lightbomb or cabal unless we seem some new cards revealed that we need this for.
Correction: Its not lightbomb, but standard, that I won't be using. :)
If Zoo ever comes back, it won't.
Well you were wrong
