Boulderfist Ogre, Taunt, Auchenai burst potentials? Those 3 have absolutely nothing to do with this card? They're far from alike, and have no potential syngergies..

I can only see card playable in to ways:
Warrior: Turn 10, full enemy board, Cult Apothecary + Brawl (Clear board and heal for up to 14 health).
Pally: Turn 9, full enemy board, Cult Apothecary + Wild Pyromancer + Equality (Full board and heal for up to 14 health).
Forget about the Brann Bronzebeard dream guys. If you need that much healing, it's because you're losing. If you're losing, it's because your opponent is controlling the board. If you opponent is controlling the board, then you have to clear it.
What we've learned today boys ? HEAL & CLEAR BABY :)
Nope :) You like EVERY other guy in here thinks you always end up with an empty board against face and aggro. That's basically not true. Face decks, like a lot of aggressive decks, usually ignore your board/controllish minion you play before the big guys and aim to your face (this does not apply to zoo decks). This means you actually could play Cult Apothecary and half-clear the board with what you got + a small amount of mana.
Warlock: Turn 8, Cult Apothecary + Shadowflame or turn 9 Cult Apothecary + Power Overwhelming + Shadowflame
Warlock: Turn 6+, Molten Giant + Cult Apothecary + Sunfury Protector(New handlock?)
Druid: Turn 9, Poison Seeds + Cult Apothecary (though this is not quite as strong as the others)
Mage: Turn 9, Doomsayer + Cult Apothecary + Frost Nova or don't use Doomsayer and keep freezing until you can clear the board, ofc you can then do it from turn 7
Shaman, Rogue and Priest also have their own less useful ones, I don't think hunter will be effective with this card though

Not as powerful as Antique Healbot
Sure, it has +1/+1 in stats, but it will usually not heal for as much as the healbot did against control decks with burst and especially not against Freeze Mage. If it healed for 3 each it would be a whole different story, if not be overpowered even, but in my humble opinion it is worse.
Besides that, lets look at some of the aggrodecks and how many minions they usually have on the board.
Face Hunter: 1 or 2
Face Shaman: 1 to 3
Secret Paladin: Hard to tell with Muster for Battle leaving the standard format.
Zoo Warlock: Here we see some value, as Zoo Warlocks usually flood the board with powerful deathrattle minions. (Un)fortunately many of the powerful Deathrattle minions like Shredder, Egg and Creeper leave the standard format.
In Wild this card has more potential.

By best attempt at balancing this surprisingly hard to balance card.
What? Why'd you want to nerf it's stats and mana cost, all while doubling it's healing?
It seems pretty good and fair in my eyes as Blizzard presented it
You get no heal if your opponent has no board. You get a big heal if your opponent has a huge board, then immediately lose the health again.
This revision will restore a lot of health if your opponent can't kill his own minions with it, while if he can it will at least clear some of his board as a semi Taunt.
The only board state you presented was "those 3 1/1s". Think about any other board state than that, then you'll realize why I made the choices I made.
People thinking the original card is great know very little about this game. If your opponent's board is significant, the last thing you want to do is waste a turn on a heal. Might as well play a 5 mana Frost Nova without any Doomsayer synergy.
On top of that, this card is designed for a slower meta in which your opponent has 2+ minions that can't die to 3 atack, thus netting you 8+ health on 4 mana.
"Whenever your opponent chooses"? You do realize the minion can attack, right? It's meant to play similarly to Sylvanas Windrunner, only dropping it on a viable board.
Not 100% because there needs to be an enemy minion...if the board is clear and this is the only minion in your hand and you're at 1 hp...
One more reason of "Why Stand Against Darkness sucks."
Good Antique Healbot replacement. More stats but flexible heal. It can be 0 (which kinda sucks), it can be 12-14 against zoo.
Antique Healbot is GvG, so Blizzard came with this to replace it on Standard mode.
Freeze Mage gets some breathing room. Just have to remember to keep the Kirin Tor Mages to play the secrets xD
