What the F*ck: everyone's reaction to this card.
8/8 for 8 that heals 8 randomly. It's a good replacement for healbot on turn 8 that can impact the board. Not bad, although the lack of battlecry means that you potentially cannot use a weapon this turn if you're at really low health.
LIVE. INSECT!
They need to pin high rated comments like this.
i like it. cant wait to see the golden version.
lore friendly is over 9000. still nice card
Ok now that I'm over the fact that this card exists, time for my opinion.
It actually looks like a pretty decent card. You can play it on 8, trade favorably with another minion, or just let it heal face. Also remember unlike the original rag, this one can attack, meaning you could attack with this minion, and have it restored. Pretty decent tbh, and it will make some control paladin list viable (with a couple more cards)
Ben Brode said that we would like the expansion. Still waiting for the new meta cards to be revealed...
this card sucks for real
Love the art. Love the idea and love that palladin gets a litte bit more badass!
I'm going to make a deck with this card in it as well as Ragnaros the Firelord and I will call it Ragnabros and I will hit legend rank 1 with it
The fact that they replaced the "The" with a comma is the most upsetting to me.
Otherwise its a balanced card, great for-
Ok, I cant get over it. WHY. just "Ragnaros THE Lightlord" not hard. 3 Letters blizzard
Anyways getting back to the card, the late game for paladin is strong to start, and this-
Ok like but why a COMMA? it makes no sense! its separating itself form its counterpart in a totally unnecessary way! *sigh*
.
Agree... It's strange o.O
Well as a matter of fact, there's many 'firelords', but Ragnaros is THE Firelord. don't think there's any lightlords in lore.
Well I am kinda glad they are not creative when it comes to paladin ( Kappa ), but when you think more of it, the art,the effect and the body is so decent, that in the end, somehow, I don't even care about creativity.
Of course, card is not so good if bgh remains same.
P.S. My opinion is that they aren't trolling for body, mana, and effect, just for name and art, kinda like semi-trolling to be a good joke, but either way I wouldn't like them to change art and name, I like it.
I can't believe how dumb some people are here, those who say the card is bad and will never be played.
This card is actuality an Ironbark Protector with an Antique Healbot Battlecry.
Wait what ? How is that ?
Well if your opponent is not as dumb as some people here, then he will sacrifice what ever cards/minions he have to kill this dude as soon as possible. So is an 8/8 TAUNT minion.
And because the heal is AT THE END OF YOUR TURN, not at the start, this means you can actuality control who's gonna get healed for 8. You can get the full value of this card the moment you play it.
That was the worst case scenario guys. The best case scenario is that it will survive multiple turns, heal a bunch of stuff, hit for 8 damage and win you the game.
At the end, i can safely say that this card is as good as Tirion Fordring.
"OMG, he's saying that a card is as good as Tirion, INSTA-DOWN-VOTE".
Yes it's as good as Tirion Fordring, because Tirion can lose all his value with a Silence or Polymorph or whatever.
But the LightLord well get the heal out the turn you play it, so you will get that value out of it every single time you play it.
It heals a random friendly dude at the end of your turn.
So you can trade you other minions to kill your opponent's board. Leave no damaged minions on your side. Then your hero will be the only damaged friendly character, so it will 100% target you will the 8 heal.
Only benefit of TF over this when it comes to stats is that it dodges BGH, however this might not be as big of a deal since BGH seems to be headed to the nerf-chopping block. I agree, this thing does something the turn it's played, potentially saving you from lethal or another high value minion from dying, whilst also providing a huge 8/8 body on board. It can trade into other big minions, survive, and heal himself to full health. This is the kind of controllable rng that doesn't make the game incredibly shitty like Rag the Firelord has.
