Value depends on the new upcoming spell, and other cards... still, with healing bot and all other decent 5 drops dissapearing from meta(at least in standard),I think this fits midrange style, cause you tend to have board control, and 4/6 with potentional to heal as long as it lives(sometimes even more than bot) is kinda better than 3/3 for 5 mana +8 secure heal, if you ask me.
This + elemental destructiond ? 6 minions on board=full health.
This one could be really good, and stats are not bad either.
It's like an 8 mana auchenai circle with reno attached, i honestly can't tell if it's good or not.
t5: doomhammer or azure drake
t6: emperor
t7: dr. boom
t8: faceless + hallazeal + lightning bolt + earthshock + rockbitter + frostshock + fork lightning
t9: malygos
How do you play Emperor t6 after you played Doomhammer t5?
How do you play Malygos t9 after you played stuff + lightning bolt + forked lightning t8?
Maybe new shaman card t4: For the rest of the game, overloaded mana unlocks immediately.
Back in the slower days of Hearthstone, when the Yeti of Chillwind was a force to be reckoned with, Mid-range Shaman was quite a formidable deck. People have often tried at creating that amazing control Shaman that ran Ancestral Call, Fire Elemental, and Healing Wave, maybe even a dash of Elemental Destruction. With this card and the hopeful slowing down of the meta game via Standard, perhaps this could be the support option that Shaman needs to claw it's way back into being a non-aggro class once again. I don't know about you guys, but I miss being able to roll out heavy curve Shaman deck.
Not bad, best combo being this + lightning storm. However that's turn 8 earliest, turn 6 if you're lucky. Against aggro shaman is usually dead by then. Against control shaman doesn't need the heal in the first place.
Really like how most of the cards we've seen so far are made so the games we'll see in the future will slow down more consistent. Pushing the game towards a midrange(and even a bit control) standards, which is were the game looks, play and feels the best.
I hope they'll continue to give us more tools to control the early powerlevel cards because I think most people out there are tired to lose some games at turn 1-3, when it comes to low drop high powerlevel cards. Thought, haven't seen the upcoming changes yet though. So we'll just have to see.
If this was a hunter legendary, I'd be happy, because that means hunter would finally get SOME comeback mechanic to promote control gameplay. As shaman?
Well, thing about shaman being shit, is an early game and overload being a tempo killer. This is generally why blizzard added cards like Lava Shock and Tunnel Trogg to compensate for devastating overload tempo loss. Shaman already have healing wave and healing totem at the least to heal himself so this is 5 mana drop, relying on ALSO using spells (which are likely overload) to heal FACE. Should also mention, that control on control is not about healing face 90% of the time and in other decks its just a 5 mana 4/6. I do note, that 5 mana 4/6 is generally nice given Belcher and Loatheb leaves us, but there's Pit Fighter and now Corrupted Healbot. That said, I don't think this card is anyhow better than, lets say, Spectral Knight or Djinni of Zephyrs .
Counter the face decks... going to the face!
Cool legend.
Good body for 5 mana (better than the usual 5/5 IMO). I wonder how this will work with mass removal, like Lightning Storm
I want this, I need this. I may even craft a gold one in a fit of insane bliss.
I would love to see a elemental type for shaman
Only one more remains, and that's the rock lady, Therazane. She'll probably end up in Hearthstone sooner or later.
As someone who used to main midrange shaman (when it was still decent), I am so happy.
To start, it's 5 mana 4/6 - that's not too shabby on its own. Combine that with heals, and you've got a legitimately good shaman legendary for the first time ever.
give shaman another removal tool and we are talking full control shaman
Ok who else is celebrating? I know I am...
On the other hand people are gonna overload so much playing spells for this card that they're gonna screw up the rest of their game...
Lava Shock
