Oh yeahhhh
New Meta Confirmed
Finally a shaman card without "Battlecry: lose the game because overload destroys your tempo".
Jokes aside. Seems pretty good, though I don't like the idea of aggro shaman having this
It's hard to say if this will actually be played. It has extreme synergy with board clears, but you are suffering a tempo lost in general, by playing this. Remember mistcaller? Everyone thought it was great in till they realized it lost too much tempo. This does have six health which does mean it's hard to take down, but healing does not generally help you, in matches that are not face. Healing wave has not gotten that much play for example.
Mistcaller was a tempo loss because the body it provided was worth 3.5 mana on a 6 mana card with no immediate effect on the game state. This thing has the body of a Druid of the Claw Bear Stance without taunt (let's be honest though, it's a soft taunt) and Druid of the Claw is considered to be a pretty good card in it's own right. Combine that with an effect like this and it's value is made obvious. Good thing about overload (wait wut) is that your damaging spells will come in cheaper than their average net worth on the turn their played, making it easier to combo with a card like this and quickly extract some value out of it's effect.
As for Healing Wave seeing no play. That's 3 mana for just a heal that doesn't even have guaranteed value due to joust. Healing from this card is not only guaranteed, but it's an aftereffect of having done something else to the board state. That makes this healing fairly powerful, as it can widen a gap created by an AoE clear or a targeted removal into a game-winning state. Aggro deck about to explode your face and they've still got a couple chargers/burst cards in hand? You can Lightning Storm their board and push yourself out of lethal range, turning a losing situation into a favorable one since they can no longer just shrug off your removal and finish you off.
Holy crap Elemental Destruction value. A worse reno, but damn AoE is amazing with this card.
`But you can run two copies of cards in a deck with it and still get healing....
Worse Reno indeed. Everyone acts like the card is amazing but shamans never had a problem with healing.
Control Shaman?
How good is Hallazeal the Ascended? Turns out its preeeeety good!
Don't know why this was down voted. You obviously don't want your Hallazeal to die after you just played it, so an Air Totem is actually unlucky if it hits for 6.
Not that good really, it's just okay.
Thats 10 mana, you ain't gonna reach turn ten against face hunter if you don't play this card on curve.
Taking thalnos still puts you at 8 mana, same thing, you don't reach it if you agaisnt aggro, at least as shaman is right now.
This card is actually insane. If agro ignores it you can simultaneously keep removing their board while healing back up. This + elemental destruction can be absolutely amazing as well, especially if over-damage heals like we think it will.
This might just make me play more Shaman. It's my least played class.
