One of the best golden animations of all of the Old Gods cards imo.
Overrated card, but certainly not bad. It seems a little bit win-more to me but in some situations, the card can be back breaking. Ive seen cards better than this consigned to obscurity, but knowing how the shaman plays, this could find it's way into a control deck.
With Elemental Destruction, this actually becomes a really good card, since it makes up for the turn of overload, but it usually haves to survive a turn to make it happen.
This card actually believe it or not (believe it) is not good. What I am meaning of by that is that you cannot be synergy with "Molten Giant" if u are to have play this card. Also I do think not that a legendary should give spell heal but not to give spell power... Very bad card and Blizzard if u read plz add spell power.
What?
Now all Shaman needs is an actually GOOD board wipe.
I think this is meant to be used with Elemental Destruction especially since it survives the hit (without spell damage)
Definitely will give elemental shaman a try this expansion.
turns Lightning Bolt into 1 manaBash, Lava Shock into 2 mana Drain Life (plus overload benefit), and Lava Burst into 3 mana Holy Fire.
Of course, the benefits are even better when it comes to AOE, though i'm still skeptical regarding Forked Lightning. considering forked lightning and only be played with hallazeal on turn 6 or later, i have some doubts if it would actually be purposeful by that point in the game, unless you're facing aggro
One of my favorites so far, i always wanted to make a deck like this and this card seals the deal.
Lightning Storm and Elemental Destruction got indirectly buffed, but what about Forked Lightning? In most cases, it is a bad card, but sometimes it is better than Lightning Storm when you need to remove 2 minions only (this can be seen in Arena).
If you hate overload then don't use this card. Most of the decent Shaman spells have overload.
People who say that this card is an huge tempo loss on turn 5 don't have any idea of what is tempo.
4/6 for 5 mana is normal stats for that mana, just think about Loatheb. This card has base stats for a 5 mana minion, he isn't a 5/5 because it is meant to be comboed with Elemental Destruction which does max 5 damage.
Druids can summon Druid of the Claw on taunt form on turn 5 and it isn't a tempo loss. This card, on turn 5, has the EXACT effect of Druid of the Claw since an aggro MUST deal with this card.
I agree that this card isn't a huge tempo loss, but 4/6 is not 'normal stats' for 5 mana. That'd be 5/6 or 6/5, both Loatheb and Druid of the Claw lose one stat point
5/6 for 5 mana is the best stat distribution for a 5 mana drop without any drawbacks. Just look at Pit Fighter, she will be the only 5 mana drop with that stats because she's a vanilla minion. No effect, best stats.
6/5 is premium stats for a 5 mana minion (6+5=11, more than double the mana cost), while 5/5 is average. 4/6 isn't bad at all, the vanilla test says that the stats are balanced for the mana cost.. If this card was a 5/5 I would have liked it less since it won't survive an Elemental Destruction. It has 6 health for that purpose, and if it was a 5/6 it would be really OP.
Also it's more likely a turn 8 play, Hallazeal + Elemental Destruction/Lightning Storm. And it would be way worse as a 5/5 since it could die to Elemental Destruction.
