Ehh it's alright, it's also pretty much exactly the Forbidden Ancient druid card with one extra health for some balance-questionable reason.. :)
I actually think this card is very good because it can be used at ALL stages in the game. I think I will try it, and the worst thing that could happen is I won't like the RNG... but I usually love RNG cards XD They are so much fun!
Best case is I drool for crafting a golden one if it proves to be EXTREMELY good... but I don't think it will be that good...
Let's look at it this way:
Pros:
-Card that can be good at all stages of the game, you will always be able to play this.
-Can summon minions from another class
-can summon legends (if you are lucky XD)
-You can play other cards before it so you don't loose your entire turn.
Cons:
-RNG can give you the WORST card for the situation if you are unlucky (NO! Please don't summon Majordomo Executus This is the MAJOR downside that may kill the cards playability... if it screws over to many people no one will use it. )
-You can not summon most of the giants... :'( Sorry buddies :( (is it really that bad? it is sad though... they are left out...)
I guess we will have to play with this before we can really tell if it is any good or not.
Majordomo Executus is 9 mana that means that you can avoid him by just using your hero power (and getting a 7 or 8 mana minion)
Beautiful! Had to sign up just to comment on this one, absolutely wonderful.
I've seen way too many people poo-pooing this card because "why not just put a card you'd want instead of hoping for the one you want out of this?"
If you think that way, you're approaching this from the wrong angle. Imagine a Ragnaros the Firelord, Tirion Fordring, etc. that you can change in for a random early-game card. It's a potential huge late game threat (virtually guaranteed at 10 mana or 8 with hero power), that isn't a dead draw that you have to sit on for half the game if you pick it up right after your initial mulligan.
There's a huge trade-off on power for the in-between, but this is a card you'll NEVER be unhappy to topdeck. You may not like the end result of a gambled 5 drop, that's the price you play for the absolute maximum flexibility this card provides. If you bother to crunch numbers, you can even keep track of plays that involve burning mana just to maximize the value you get out of this card, say, using 3 mana on turn 5 to avoid Kvaldir Raider. I'm no expert player, but I play enough priest that I would be willing to bet this will be an auto-include for many priest players.
Now priest just needs some spell synergies...
omg this place is so pritty
We actully have to wait untill all the new cards, to see the full picture of the value of the manaslots.
But C'Thun is defenatly a big 10 mana slot nerf (6/6 for 10 mana nice), the new 8 mana minion Giant Sandworm is not a bad drop but lower the chance for Tirion :(
A 10 Mana Forbidden Shaping might actually not be that bad considering all the Old Gods will cost that much, but we'll have to see what effects they have before analyzing that.
Also, as a side note, Chromaggus is not at all a bad card IMO.
You are forgetting the flexibility of this card. It means you always have an on-curve play, even if it is a slightly inferior on-curve play, it is still usually better than leaving three mana unspend.
When you are at 10 mana, just use hero player and play this card for random 8 mana ragnaros or something.
And now you have The Boogeymonster in the 8-mana slot which is basically just a nerf to the 8 mana slot and the worst one you can get.
Gruul bad, if you get him out and the oponent has no answer it could be a potential win. Also ya i don't think i even need to explain why Chromaggus wouldn't be bad XD.
Wait, wasn't this card called forbidden SAPling at first? i remember reading the name as sapling last week. maybe it was mistranslated
EDIT: Removed because dumb comment (remove feature doesn't work for me).
This would be a cool card in arena, if it wasn't an epic one :(
If you coin with 10 mana, you will still have 10 mana.
Gadgetzan Auctioneer/or summoning stone + this card= card summon + card summon/ or card draw
Oh boy I can't wait to run my favorite legendary Tirion Fordring again in Priest!
