Trash tier card at mage, if i play control mage i take 2 fireballs, 2 frostbolt, 2 sheep, maybe 1 or 2 arcane blast. For this i just dont have slot in my deck.

(But really though, not that excited about Forbidden Flame, but the normal and golden artwork are awesome! Nice mechanic too.)
This could have been infinitely more useful if it allowed characters, not minions, though I do like the sound of 0-cost/X-cost spells. Hope we see more in the future.
PS: Wouldn't even be that OP if it allowed you to hit face. 2 mana 3 frostbolt, 4 mana 6 fireball, 10 mana 10 pyroblast, you see the pattern here?
Looks only good for late-game arena tempo....thing is there might be some epics that would be a more preferable pick than this one.

does anyone know if this is targeted or random (cards with either effect share the same wording). If it is target able then its an 8/10 mana flamelance otherwise its just garbage
It is useally specified if it's random.
Look at Flamecannon f.x.
"To a minion" restriction makes it bad. I liked the idea of Arcane Blast and that's how an epic card should be.
If it could hit face then it would be decent because Smorc. In all seriousness though, it just looks like another 'almost good enough but not quite' cards that might do decent in a deck or two, but won't ever amount to much. Why play this when you can just play polymorph
It seems like it could fit in a control mage in a control meta. Having the potential damage increase as the game progresses allows you to deal with increasingly large minions.
This card is a a tempo loss why would you want to spend all your mana to remove a minion and do nothing else that turn. You are just going to give board initiative back to your opponent if you have no other minions on board all ready.

Sure you can, say its turn 7 you play a 5 drop and deal 2 damage to a minion, is that really a good turn 7? by that turn most people are going to have 2-3 dudes and if they don't they are just going to play a big dude while you played a 5 drop...This card is just not worth playing right now for what it does. Arcane Blast is just better in every way and mage all ready have enough spells that deal with minions to the point that this card is not needed in the game right now.
Dunno if it's been answered, but if you have 0 mana and use it on a Divine Shield what happens?
I assume it would deal 0 damage and therefore would not break the divine shield, not positive tho.
How often do you need to deal 14 damage to a minion? FeelsUnnecessaryMan
Apart from that, those are different class cards
you can't have more than 10 mana. if you innervate @ 10 mana, you still have 10 mana
you cant hold 14 crystal
Love the mechanic, worried what will shamans get though...
