Relax. Shamans will be great because of the 1/3 that gives a new hero power.
I didn't mean the totems, just overloaded mana crystals.
Amazing mechanic, but I keep seeing it as easy to deal with for the opponent.
Nonetheless, it's like 2 damage for 0 mana at the minimum, and it could be like 8 damage for 0 mana later on.
They should make a rogue poison card work exactly like this, call it "Envenom" maybe 3 damage for 3, except rogues have Prep. Combo with SI:7 and your tempo is solid.
No, it's like 2 damage for 2 mana only to face at the minimum, since opponent can win next turn if you play crap like this.
This scares me. Everyone thinks it sucks, but it hurts the efficiency of your opponent. Sure they could just play it, but then they're down two mana, and two health, and if they don't their down 4 health and two mana. So the efficiency of your turns are destroyed. It wears your opponenets tempo down. The more they try to build their own tempo, you get a bit of free damage in. If they get rid of it, they loose tempo. Probably best played on curve, or with a minion in addition on a later turn (like 3 or 4). If you play it after turn 5 you could experience problems. You could even overdraw those freeze mages. Or kill them through iceblock, the possibilities are high.
Well...
in constructed we have aggro zoo like warlocks and controlly handlocks. I doubt zoo would waste 2 mana just to deal 2 damage to you since board means a lot to them. As for handlocks, there minions are sooo big that I really don't think they care about this 2 damage anyway. Giving away early tempo (2 mana) is usually what control decks do but handlocks are so good at outstat opponents' minions.
In arena though, I would consider early tempo for warlocks especially important as losing board means lower health during warlock's late game, which might prevent tapping then losing that hero ability advantage.
This card was made to "screw your opponent's tempo" and deal some damage in the process... think about this:
T1 Flame Imp
T2 Curse of Rafaam
Tx whatever you need/want to play
Your opponent has two obvious choices on his turn... play the curse or play a card, if the first happens, he will kinda lose a turn and you dealt 2 dmg, if he plays a card, you will do 4 dmg and he will have to make the same choice next turn... don't get me wrong, i don't think this card is strong...
It is just me, or this feels like tgt all over again?
I like it, this is the curse Cursed!. (inserted link didn't work, try this: www.hearthpwn.com/cards/27247-cursed)
Essentially 2 mana for "Deal 2 damage to the enemy hero each turn until they spend 2 mana crystals to stop this effect". No idea where it would currently fit, but its a nice concept.
Likely will not be played.
Is it at the beggining of their turn? Is it at the end? I think the card should be more specific.
Start of turn. http://www.hearthpwn.com/cards/27247-cursed
You could probably combo it with loatheb or a trogg
Could play it when you'd like to be playing Loatheb: before big AOE like Flamestrike wipes your board.
Does the curse benefit from your Spell Damage? From THEIRS?
It's a spell, that does damage. If in their hand, why wouldn't it be buffed from their own spell damage like any other spell? Mwahahaha.
I don't know, does Chromaggus's cards deal extra damage to you in the adventure fight?
Though Azure Drake and Velen's Chosen are the only cards seen much in constructed, as well as maybe Bloodmage Thalnos and rarely Malygos :D.
I don't know about that. We need more details. Does it give them a card from their deck and curse it? Or is the curse a new card and if so how much mana does this cursed card cost? It deals damage and makes them waste some mana on their turn. I see potential but not in something like handlock.
That is unfortunate. But it could see play in a warlock deck that runs the turn 10 24 damage combo. I'm trying to build one with stall cards like Mana Wraith, Loatheb, Doomsayer Twisting Nether ect
