I can confirm!  The Scarab is crazy valuable in Battlecry Shaman!

Exactly what I came here to say! I'm trying out a Battlecry Shaman and this card has been crazy useful. Nearly every time I've played it I've gotten a perfect card for the situation. Even cards like Stoneskin Gargoyle, Gnomeregan Infantry, and Silverback Patriarch that are way too weak to put in a deck can be perfect cards against aggro and face decks.

Also Shaman tends to struggle with card draw so just having this in your deck means having an extra body which doesn't cost you a card so that is useful by itself as well.

I don't know what you're trying to say, wisp341. I was saying that card isn't very good... that it was worse, in fact, than Novice Engineer. Rather the opposite of power creep... 

However, I have recanted my position on Jeweled Scarab. After being pleasantly surprised by the Discover mechanic in the PVE encounters, I decided to run the fancy dung beetle in my midrange shaman. It /is/ a bit underwhelming as a 1/1, but the battlecry is well worth it.

Yes, but it has to be same class spells.

A shitty two drop that guaranties a decent 3 drop... meh. Maybe in a very beast themed deck you can also use it as a cheap activator for your synergies and on average it instantly cycles into something more useful than a Webspinner does.

I was of the same opinion, but having played with it now I have changed my mind. It's a decent card.   

Snowballing as hunter will continue at launch of LoE...

Piloted Shredder nerf.

Silent nerf would be: Piloted Shredder now has 50% chance to drop this.

This is going to be PRETTY good as a Hunter.

I think this is a damn cool card (SUPER good arena card) I mean it guarantees you an on-curve minion that's probably going to be of reasonable quality (as it's unlikely all three choices will suck). 

But then I think about Novice Engineer and I wonder if this is really *that* much better?

Maybe Druid beast is finally a thing...
