April 2016 Card Nerf
It was announced on April 20th, 2016 that Blade Flurry would receive a nerf.
- Mana cost increase to 4, up from 2.
- Now only deals damage to enemy minions - does not include the Hero.

no not blade flurry :( if its gonna cost 2 more and it's not going to hit face and it still needs at 'least' a poison card to make it worth while then don't make it break the freaking weapon!
worst case its 6 mana for a one damage aoe or 7 mana for a 4 damage flamestrife that needs 2 cards and the weapon / poison to survive a turn against inexpensive weapon removal
right ?

Talk about misdiagnosing the problem. Blizz. the reason Blade Flurry is in every rouge deck is because you didn't give rouges shite for mass damage or removal. Stopping it from hitting face and jacking up the cost doesn't matter. What matters is that it hits the entire board in a class that has trouble with that. If you want to tone down the number of decks that are running Blade Flurry you only have to add a few more mass damage cards to rouge.
maybe they're trying to enforce that as a main weakness...we don't even have all the new Rogue cards revealed, there might be something in there that explains this..and if not, maybe in the next expansion

Yeah, my spelling is horrible. Comes from every word just looking like a word jumble to me. It is paricularly hard for me to notice letter transpositions. Especially if they spell an actual word so spellchecker doesn't flag the word for me.

It should be changed to:
3-4 mana with dealing face damage as before
or
2 mana without dealing face damage
Not 4 mana without dealing face damage ffs!

OK, wtf oil won't even be able standard, so now the only buffs for weapons would only really be deadly poison, captain greenskin, bucaneer and spiteful smith, the last three cards being cards that don't see much play in constructed at all.
So then an AOE combo with blade flurry would be hero power -> d. poison -> hit target -> blade flurry. This whole combo costs 7 mana, does the same damage as an excavated evil, except it doesn't hit your own minions or put the card in their deck. HOWEVER the only reason excavated evil is even played is because priest is a control class focusing on late game minions and removal. However rogue on the other and is not a control class, rogue hero power is literally "take damage so that you can tempo out the opponent". Also this combo would require one to run such a situational card such as blade flurry, which would be completely dead if it wasn't for d. poison, none of the rogue weapons are played with the exception of a few assassin's blade which can't even be played on the same turn as blade flurry unless you want to miss out on 2 durability of your weapon (also 9 mana 4 damage doens't seem that worth, if you were to use assassin's blade with blade flurry it would still have to be planned two turns in advance which is completely absurd for a aoe that does 3 damage or potentially 5 (with deadly poison). The other rogue weapon, pedition's blade has some potential however you would not be able to utilize the combo unless you have a coin or wish to play your preperation into a deadly posion. This card is so situational you can't even use it as a finisher either because they removed the damaging face aspect. I have, on multiple occasions won games by a topdeck blade flurry or a topdeck azure drack into blade flurry
tl;dr if rogue doesn't some op af weapon buffs there really isn't any reason to play this card anymore.
Simply you have to spend 7 mana, 2 cards and 1 hero power to deal 3 damage all enemy minions. This is not fair when compare Flamestrike They must give rogue some great cards to control board.

The nerf for this card seems excessively harsh as compared to the others.
it is really sad to see this nerf. the only viable card for board clear.
This nerf makes blade flurry equvilant to shadowflame. It was not balanced for rogue to deal 12 damage to face and 6 to board. The card is very good now. Stop crying for not having op and not interractive cards.
for 7 mana a mage can do a 4 damage aoe
for 7 mana a rogue can use hero power (2) poison (1) blade flurry (4) to deal 3 damage aoe including hero wait no hahaha not even hero and yes you use two cards for this combo
seriously ? 2 cards and 7 mana for 3dmg aoe and add 3 damage from the weapon sometimes.
really a big nerf
