Clarifications
- Does not copy adventure boss Hero Powers. (Source)
- You will keep the stolen Hero Power for the duration of the match. (Source)
- If your opponent has changed the damage or mana cost on their current Hero Power, you would not receive these benefits. (Source)
- This also copies non-base Hero Powers such as DIE, INSECT!. (Source)
Man, I bet everyone worships you for your greatness.
It is a matter of logic and intelligence. It takes less than half a brain to realize that Blizzard obviously would have thought of the interaction and wouldn't trivialize Adventure mode like that, especially since they disabled Alexstrasza when it would trivialize fights.
Tell me more :)
... Just shut up.
This card seems awful to me. Most decks are built to some extent around the strengths and/or weaknesses of their hero ability. I can't think of a single deck that truly wants to actively steal a random hero ability other than maybe something like Control-Paladin after recruits have become somewhat lack luster. Even in fringe situations, you're talking about taking a premium 6 drop slot for this card with very situational applications. I can't see cutting Sylvannas and/or Thaurissan for this nor adding a whole additional 6 drop. If you're adding/cutting a 6-drop for a poor stat minion with a battlecry it'd probably going to be for Justicar anyway.
This card is way to situational (and with 6 mana also way too expensive) to become popular in competitive play...
the effect itself would have been nice on a cheaper minion... but I don't see a reason why you should ever pick this minion over other 6-drops like Sylvanas Windrunner or Emperor Thaurissan .
DO NOT ATTEMPT. IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED THAT YOU CAN'T STEAL SINGLE PLAYER ADVENTURE POWERS.
Stupid question.
In the Blackrock Mountain boss Lord Victor Nefarius, the encounter is set up so the boss uses his True Form hero power on the first turn, then changes to Wild Magic. Is there any physical way to play the Spelleater turn one to steal the True Form hero power before it changes, given that you go first? Is there any combination of 3 cards plus the Spelleater you can have in your opening hand to play her turn 1?
EDIT: I think I have the dream. Turn 1 Innervate, Lorewalker Cho, Innervate, Saboteur. You now have no cards in hand, but Nefarian has an Innervate and an unusable hero power. Nefarian uses the coin and his innervate which you get back. Turn 2 you coin out a second Saboteur which you topdecked, so Nefarian has a coin and, again, an unusable hero power. He uses the coin and leaves Cho alive. Turn 3, you use the coin and the innervate you have to play the Spelleater you top decked. Bam! You stole True Form. Enjoy watching the game be entirely confused.
If this happens i want a video of it. I wonder how many tries you have to do in order to make this happen?
Yeah, I'd love such a video, too. According to my math, the odds of just top decking a second Saboteur turn 2 AND top decking a Spelleater turn 3 are 1 in 325 (assuming you run two Spelleaters). That's disregarding the fact that you need those EXACT four cards in your opening hand (the math gets more complicated for that with the mulligan and all) and the fact that Nefarian's AI has to be nice to you, giving you an Innervate and a Coin while leaving Cho alive.
Yeah. It'd take a metric ton of grinding to pull off. But it is theoretically possible!
Dude. After I open my 50 packs, I'm gonna try that for days. MAKE A VIDEO IF YOU DO IT!!!!!
Don't waste your time! IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED THAT THIS HAS NO EFFECT ON SINGLE PLAYER BOSSES.
Heroic Thaurissan, here I come!
This is definitely going in my control Paladin deck. Towards the endgame, having Silver Hand Recruits can actually become a liability. Stuff like Redemption, Coghammer, Enter the Coliseum would all work together without those guys.
Good counter against Justicar Trueheart, and sometimes Jaraxxus?
rogue new TGT best friend lmao
This is a Jaraxxus/Majordomo nerf. Like Majordomo needed a nerf.
Sweet, I can finally go and beat all the adventure mode bosses I was stuck on! Thanks Blizz <3
No, it only works if your hero power is trying to replace it. No other hero power will have an effect. Sleep tight.
you just gave tht guy a nightmare... lol?
Your version is so much better and rogue will take the most advantage in TGT, which blizz probably dont want to see lol
