I'm not a shaman or anything, but isn't Elemental Destruction the opposite of what they want to do?

KABOOM!
*Whistles*
Damn that goods.
Another AOE clear for shaman. Malygos OTK shaman looking like it's going to be pretty strong with the TGT cards. Spell card draw, another AOE clear (That is stronger than flamestrike for less mana), and a massive heal.
not tricky at all, you give up your next turn to destroy a shit ton of crazy good minions like muster for battle 3/3 combo and take back the game. Otherwise you would be just dead.
Flame Stike is a 7 mana spell, this is a 3+5 mana slightly stronger flamestrike,
It really didn't need to hit your side of the board aswell.
On second thought, this is a great card. It is to be used late game when board control is lost, unlike lightning storm where you can use it to retain board control. Better than flame strike because of overload, in turn 10 you can go face with your board then use this and drop a dr boom or turn 9 this and fire elemental to clear everything plus a minion that has up to 7 or 8 health.
The dream. Turn 10 Elemental Destruction + Earth Elemental + Lava Shock. 8 mana worth of value right there.
Seems like a good card, late game you can cast this and clear the board if you are behind, then cast something good because of the low mana cost and remove overload next turn with Lava Shock . Also good turn 3 play if you play vs aggro, if he has more than 4-5 minions, which is very likely for a face hunter or eboladin...if they still stay around after TGT :) Anyway +1 to Blizz, just what the Shammy needed.
Might be a good addition to slow decks like Malygos shaman where you don't care about early minions as much, and you just want to survive the early game to pull off an end-game combo.
This is mostly comparable to enter the void, which was not played, you can play this for 5 mana with lava shock and then put down some creatures however. Its great against aggro of course, but then you already have lighting storm for that. This card is a bit hard to evaluate but I do not think it will be played much.
I think its a decent boardclear especially in combo with lava shock, if not it seems a bit overpriced for it also damaging your board
Wait so a THREE mana Board clear is overpriced? and dont me that crap of " its a 8 mana spell because of overload." if you have to skip your next turn but be able to wipe their board thats fine by me.
I dont count it as 8 mana actually, but if you do as you say clear the board then skip a turn you will be back in the same situation because your opponent will have 2 turns to fill the board again (lets say 9 mana worth of stats if you play it on 3-4).
Why people doesn't realize that this can be played for 3 mana but is not a turn 3 card?
Helps to set the stage for a late game Shaman deck though. Esp if you have Lava Shock ready to roll next turn, this can be huge tempo shift / control for Shaman thus making the later fun viable.
i think this card would be quite good if it didnt hit your own minions but as it is, i dont think its worth it unless you are playing some maly combo deck
Hmmm...thanks, Blizzard, but I think I'd rather just toss in Bloodmage Thalnos (Or, in my case, Kobold Geomancer). try for a spell damage totem and just use Lightning Storm. Comparable damage, 3 less overload and it doesn't wipe my side of the board. Still, good effort. It might see some play in a heavy control shaman with Healing Wave, but otherwise...yeah, I think Lightning Storm beats this out.
it's 5 mana board clear on turn 5 (This card and lava shock). Similar to auchenai soulpriest + circle which requires 2 cards. This combo is 1 mana higher and does not leave a body on board.
Not sure if it's worth it. The draw back on playing this card alone is too great, because your opponent will have the next two turns to set up board again before you do.
Guys, come on now, this is not meant to be played alone, it is part of a 5 mana combo with Lava Shock. You get a Flamestrike that can do an additional 1 damage plus 2 targeted damage for 5 mana. That's a very strong AoE combo.
It just relies on drawing the Lava Shock, which is the main drawback.
EDIT: I retract my statement, didn't see that this hits your own minions. Absolutely terrible card :(
