I agree, **** shaman.
There is no escape from light bomb, it marks us all
This card is powerful if only for the fact that you are ready for it and your opponent is not. The BIGGEST value it has is that it changes the tides for "trading" low minions into high minions. It creates so many opportunities to control this factor. Want to play a 4/3 into a 3/2? Well, play this card, then your 4/3 (or after, I'm not your dad), now you've got a 2/3 on the board that can't contest your 4/3 (or 3/4).
Controlling the matchups of minion trading is HUGE and the low cost should make this card incredibly effective
But but, Shaman is lost in the meta (Post-BRM).
So there's no need to fear for Shaman to include this card just to counter that class.
Unless TGT able to make Shaman rise up the meta once again, this is a must.
Just like Lightbomb to counter aggro/control deck OR greedy play.
So a shrinkmaster on a 2 attack card is basically an assassination with this card. Interesting.
Horrible name choice, Confuse?? What connection does that have with swapping Health and Attack? So many other good names it could have..
From your comment, I'd say that was a successful choice of names by Blizzard.
maybe because its confusing
The most interesting card in the set for me.
Maybe Big Butt Priest will work. Gives surprising burst damage potential to the class.
Everyone is just looking at the burst value of this card and I would agree that ther is some, but I think it has also a very high value for board controll, since the most commen cards to play has more health than attack. if you switch that they are easy to trade or killed by spells or Wild Pyromancer.
I think the best usage of this spell is a more versatile Inner Fire used instead and not in conjunction with Inner Fire. It should enable good early trades and combos with Wild Pyromancer. At the same time it is a better finisher than Inner Fire if there are 2 or more high health minions on the board. Imagine a Deathlord and a Tournament Medic with a Divine Spirit and a Confuse in hand: with Confuse the combo results in a 16/3 and a 8/1 = 24 damage to face whereas with Inner Fire the combo results with a 16/16 and a 3/8 = 19 damage to face. While this may not sound so much better it is also less vulnerable to silence and gives way more damage if 3 minions are present.
Here is my theorycraft utilizing this finisher potential:
tldr: don't compare it to inner fire as this card is more versatile and has better finisher potential
I created a similar deck using inner fire as well... http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/299083-priest-pure-jank
This is going to make sooooooooo many weird combos possible!! As a priest player, I fucking love this card!! :D
Maybe you can get Eadric the Pure from Grand Crusader, play this, and have your own Equality. Ayy Lmao.
RIP Totemic Might value
this card screams "priest's savage roar" to me
Why you would ever want to hatch and egg with alchemist OR with confuse? This is just plain stupid waste of cards (4 mana for 4/4 body in turn 4 taking away antiAOE element of egg)
I do not think you fully understand potential of this card - (i do agree that Confuse has nothing to do with divine spirit inner fire combos - too many cards would be used to achieve one combo) - but on its own in the right deck Confuse CAN be very powerfull for various reasons - killing move, control board, preparing card steals etc. We will not know until we try - but potential is there.
Just think about this way even if you have 2X 2*4 minions on board - with confusion you get 4dmg for 2 mana. Thats already good and that is the poorest scenario you can think of to use this card. Because in priest you usually get much bigger discreptancies in health and atack. Each discreptancy is ammount of damage in one turn burst for 2 mana
I theorycrafted one possible egg deck but it has surely nothing to do with hatching eggs with confuse:) (
Indeed - but to be sure consistancy can be achieved by building correct other 28 cards right? Well we don't know until we know i guess. But don't dust right it off just yet - this is the only card of the announced ones that MAYBE has very high potential.
Btw SavageRoar not necessary works ONLY with Force of nature, you can build a deck where it works on its own:) And to be very consistant at same time (had one tested extensively).
Radnuin Wrynn anybody? this card looks really fun
