The art on this card is amazing haha
Tournament Medic new meta guys. I'm calling it, it will be awesome!
As if priest need a 1/8 to heal even more. Even now nobody uses mad scientist (dont argue) and uses it on a low/atk.high/health minion in constructed. How can that be any different than this card if you expect it to do the same thing?
It is because (and I'm assuming you mean crazed alchemist) confuse will hit all minions and say you have 2 8 health guys out, with just a divine spirit and confuse, you do 24 burst to face which doesn't seem so unlikely. Also medics will help you survive the aggro and they wont die to almost anything at 4 mana. Also you can heal minions with priest hero power and get the"'free" heal on yourself against aggro.(by the 1st line of your comment, you seem like you don't know this.)
Something tells me that I will love animation of this card
This must be a joke.
Why is everyone downvoting the people saying this card is bad? You guys are so damn optmistic and probably don't even play priest. Stop thinking about the best case scenario. In constructed there are far more bad situations to have this in your hand than good situations ("OMG YSERA! SO GOOD, THIS CARD IS AWESOME!"). It isn't worth it.
It's a fun card, way too situational to se constructed play. You can't just build a deck arround it with crapy cards to make this combo work once in 5 games.
Priest has a great many cards with high health and low attack that work well in normal play, but could build up into a one turn swing kill if you play this card correctly. Things like Deathlord, Tournament Medic, Voljin, even Northshire. Not to mention Ysera, who yes works well in this deck as well as priest in general. Combine these cards with things like Power Word Shield and Divine Spirit and you have a very nasty combo for very little mana. This is a fun card that allows for new deck archetypes and a whole new way to play priest that synergises well with the cards it already has. That kind of innovation is exactly what this game needs and exactly what an expansion is supposed to bring. If you don't like it, you don't have to play it, but don't criticise people for having imagination before you've even seen the strategy in action.
EDIT: I didn't even realise the spell combo potential. The simple fact that anything that isn't killed by Lightbomb before Confuse is killed by it afterwards makes Confuse a powerful game-changer. It can also make high health minions into SWD targets or low health ones into SWP targets, depending on what you have to hand. It allows priest to manipulate the board to suit its needs.
It's a very, very, very situational combo and won't work at a competitive level for the same reason inner fire priest doesn't. As i said, it's a fun card but it's far from being consistent enough to see constructed play. I won't even reply the Tournament Medic part (alwful card, if you wanna play tournament medic just to make confuse work once in every 10 games, go ahead and good luck)
Inner Fire affects one minion and only their attack stat. Confuse is not comparable because it has a much greater effect over the entire board. It is situational and you may have to compromise on finding that perfect time to use it, but considering how low cost it is you have considerable freedom to clear whatever will be a problem afterwards, then play it, and proceed to take full advantage. It is a very flexible card if played correctly and opens a lot of new opportunities.
I think Tournament Medic is a decent card that is useful for anti-aggro decks and will perform that function even without doing the confuse combo. Outside of a confuse deck it combos well with Lightwarden and Holy Champion and it's definitely a card I'm going to be experimenting with.
Well, we'll see. I'll reply to you 3 or 4 months after the expansion is released.
I agree with you. People should actually look at what this card is, instead of imagining fake scenarios all the time.
Yep, pretty accurate
yo, remember me? :D
3 years later and the card is still pretty damn terrible, isn't it?
I'm not sure if Rivendare is a great idea considering the anti-synergy with Deathlord. It's tempting because of his stats, but the backfire potential is just too strong.
turn 3 deathlord,turn 4 deathlord,turn 5 PW:Shield,divine spirit,confuse=28 dmg.
Turn 3 Deathlord, turn 4 divine spirit x2 and u can even use inner fire if u have coin. Thats 4 cards, you actually used 5 cards and payed 1 more mana for an inner fire.
Oh, you are the guy from the revolutionary idea post, now i understand xDDDDD
but the point was to use confuse instead of inner fire!!!
That is like using War Golem+2 Wisps instead of Dr Boom because that is the point
