If the meta stays fast kvaldir will be worse than chow. If it slows down it will be way better as it's more playable late game and combos with circle heal/northshire for card draw and/or a 2/4 body for 1.
Have you seen the Joust mechanic? Seems like now there is a good chance that the meta will slow down a bit. Yay for Priest!

I see a slightly faster midrange priest emerging with potential for big otk plays. Im gonna run this guy northsires, injurged blade, holy champion, Justicar, and cicle. The deck basially builds itself might even run lightwardens to make the deck faster. Overall a solid card gives you more targets for the big circle plays and i think that holy champion will really put in work for priest. Happy priest getting some love this expanison.
Priest is the obvious fit, but I always like the idea of a warrior rampage and crush deck. I might try it out for fun.
Oh and what a nerf to Hungry Dragon!
Injured Kvaldir + Injured Blademaster + Circle of Healing and you are back in the game.
Should be a priest-only card :D You wont see it in other decks, and in arena this minion is just a murloc rider :D (ofc in priest u can heal it)
As a seasoned classic Priest player I believe this card has more potential than Zombie Chow which some classic decks don't even use. but this gives us a good reason to use it which is potential card draw.
Notice that having 1 health on turn 1 is not a bad thing if you're going first against Hunter, Zoo (most of them anyway) or Paladin.
This card does NOT combo with Light of the Naaru, unless you buff it's Health, unlike it's cousin Injured Blademaster.
Well, for a 1-mana minion, to be able to combo with it, it would need ridiculously high stats (it is already pretty op).
i liked Hungry Dragon, it was a viable card. now they have their own Doomsayer/Majordomo Executus
So just in theory it's
T1: Injured Kvaldir
T2: Injured Kvaldir, Northshire Cleric, Circle of Healing (possibly coin Northshire Cleric)
Don't know how good it is, but it's at least decent to be played in some sort of inner fire fun deck, when you need early board control and draw from clerics.
The main benefit I think is that this can actually be played late game, unlike zombie chow. If you drop Injured Kvaldir and do any kind of healing (Holy Nova, Circle of Healing) we get a real minion with no downside. And, in Warrior you can combo this with Battle Rage and Rampage. So, draw an extra card for one plus get a minion on board? Sounds decent to me.
I can see Priest making the most use of this card. It's Injured Blademaster's long lost cousin :P
nah, not worth it. Zombie chow is just easier to play. He also is a 1 mana Mind Blast in the late game (with auchenai)
If it's going to be used anywhere it will be used in priest as it bears an obvious resemblance to Injured Blademaster play it on turn 1 then heal it on turn 2 may be worth it in some cases but the combo of turn 1 coin, Injured Kvaldir x2 then circle of healing will flat out win you games against the aggressive decks. But only time will tell.
