Isn't rogue supposed to be a combo / tempo deck #RolePlay :P
Yeah, at least oil is a lot more balanced than the old miracle. If you drew gadgetzan and prep it was a win 90% of the time.
kinda makes nefarian less unique.
i dont like that.
but ,oh well its class cards and not spells so thats something
finally!!! rogues will be able to steal as good as... priests!?
Sometimes you'll get two Savannah Highmanes. Sometimes, you'll get two Bestial Wrath. Fun card though.
Best Art NA
I think it would be unbalanced for a rogue card to be as good as Thoughtsteal, since "stealing thoughts" is more or less the theme of Priest. It is still pretty cool.
The coolest part about Thoughtsteal is how it allows priests to obtain cards they normally "aren't allowed" to have. Cards like Swipe are exclusive to their class, and priest having access to those cards can make for amazing games. In my opinion, Burgle takes the idea of Thoughtsteal but increases the chance of getting "prohibited" combos (Archmage Antonidas on a rogue? Can you say "OP"?) while also increasing the chances of getting bad cards (you might get Eye for an Eye... even though nobody is going to have it in their deck). All in all, a fair balance.
Also, I'm quite curious about the interaction between an opponent turned into Ragnaros by Majordomo Executus and Burgle... maybe it could pull from the Showdown at Blackrock Mountain tavern brawl decklist used by Ragnaros? That would be sweet as hell!
I somehow didn't think of that, but you're probably right. Consistency is important, and that'll make it consistent with Nefarian.
The only issue I have with that is how Tail Swipe is one of Nefarian's spells in the Blackrock Mountain encounter, and Nefarian also gives tail swipes when used against any PvE boss. Therefore, I feel like it is supposed to be associated with Nefarian, and not Ragnaros. But that's just a minor detail in the whole scheme of things.
you actually get The Coin https://twitter.com/CM_Whirthun/status/629325701942894592
Tail Swipe wouldn't make sense because it's Nefarian's Tail.
What Zivil...wein said is true. I discovered it on my own last night and came here to see if someone had already posted it. I played Burgle against Patchwerk in the Construct Quarter of Naxxramas. It gave me The Coinx2.
Go hell Ben Brode and Druids, I go for The Nerub!!!!
Imagine Battlecry: 1 cost Spell, would be amazing!
Maybe 3 locust 1 mana 1/1
Thoughtsteal is better than this, because your opponents will aways use high quality cards. And this type of effect is a lot more relevant and easier to fit in Priest than in Rogues so i venture to say it'll never see play. Only for hopeless fun. And another thing: 3 mana starts to be expensive to enable comboes.
Nefarian effect on 3-mana spell for Rogues, which is a pseudo-Thoughtsteal for the same cost. Really interesting shenanigans may happen (ex: Sacrificial Pact vs Lord Jaraxxus gg)
Except this card gives class cards, not class spells, which means, say, use this against a Priest and you can get a Lightspawn. I agree, this looks interesting, but I doubt it will see much competitive play because of the overly high randomness factor.
interesting, might replace one of my sprints for this.
Hello Rogue, finally I met you, I'm Rng, nice to meet you.
In my opinion the strength of rogue is the synergies between the cards in the deck. So far i don't see the value of adding two random cards to your hand with no synergies. Anyway, i like getting surprised ;)
I thought this card was a mini Nefarian but I re-read it and you can get minions too? RNGesus and Trolden will love this
