Nice artwork. Why is he trying to catch a light bug?
People were joking about wailing soul decks but now i think it might be a thing
This card will see exactly as much play as Bolvar... It just does nothing. Against decks that play lots of minions, their attack values are typically low so this won't actually do all that much (turns out reducing a bunch of hounds or recuits from 1 attack to 1 attack isn't very effective). Against decks like Handlock who you *might* get this guy to act as 2 Aldor's on good targets... you should already be winning that matchup as control Paladin. Paladin has arguably one of the best legends in the game with Tirion, and Blizzard apparently doesn't see the need to give them another good legend. Oh well.
I understand Bolvar doesn't affect the board when he's played. This card doesn't do enough for 7 mana. I wasn't trying to say the cards were similar in any way other than they were Paladin class legendaries that weren't worth playing.
I am a multiple time legend, golden control Paladin player who's played several TCG's over the course of the last 17 years... this card is getting super hyped on these forums, but I don't think it will do enough. I think you'll be happy if this removes 4-6 stats from your opponents board is my guess, but it's not actually clearing them. They can be silenced to come back to full strength, your opponent can still buff them with power overwhelmings, abusives, defenders to make favorable trades, they'll still have their Inspire, Deathrattle, and Triggered effects... and if he reduced the attack on anything good, he can't kill it next turn anyway because his stats are poor.
Remind me again what decks we think this is good against? All I've heard is Handlock. That is a good matchup already... I could see it being ok against druid if they have a pair of 5/5s out, but they can still just combo you anyway. Against either of those matchups I'd rather play Black Knight if I'm going to bring in a tech card for them. Against aggro this is way too little way too late, and if you've done your job and kept the board clean you need to be stabilizing with some heals at that point in the game, not playing this. I'm just not seeing it.
If this comes out and I'm wrong, I'll be surprised, but I'll come back here to admit I was wrong =P
you repeat other words with "affects the board when played" but miss a point that card should be good to begin with, just affecting the board is not enough. Stormspike commando is good example in this case.
so when i usually value a card i try to think about the perfect senario for it to be good and that is vs an handlock if you hit 2 3 monsters right?well guess what paladin is already favoured in the matchup without this card and also what will you remove to put this card that is only good vs controll matchups sylvanas ? tyrion? thaurussian? because i need to remind you that this card costs 7 mana so you will need to remove 1 of your endgame threats as WONDERWARE said this card simply doesnt do much and i also add that i would replace any of my lategame threats with this card the card will see probably 0 play i might be wrong only if there will be another card that synergises well with the humility effect i need to say tho that i dont play much paladin but i reached legend a couple of times so i can say i understand a bit how this game works if you think im wrong pls tell me why but with some arguments to back your theory up
Wait an actually GOOD CARD? I'm no control paladin player but this card looks pretty dank to me.
So Much Control!!!
Fantastic against Handlock
That will be Paladream card !
can you say Amazingly good
Everyone follow the rules.
For the Lovers of control this is our card !!
Mass Humility? Very nice.
its K
Can't wait too try this card out. I feel like you can get great value with the card, like others have said tho his stats arnt great but when you knock everything else too one attack put up a taunt wall with argus and make great trades.
My argument against it is your paying 7 mana for soft removal and a 3/7. I will definitely give it a shot in my deck however and say if it's worth a slot by how often I get value from it
Great paladin legendary! The best part is that it's not weak to silence, like Bolvar and Tirion. Very strong against a big Handlock board of course, and can only be countered by Handlock silencing his OWN minions to remove it. It's good against a lot of other things as well to minimize damage, and making favorable trades. Worst situation is playing it into unbuffed totems, if shaman becomes popular.
Control Paladin is making a big comeback?or we just have some hype like the dragon cards and then control paladin will be tier 2-3 again?
I'm excited for Controlladin, might not be OMG SUPER OP PlZ NERF, but it's definitely gonna be stronger and I'm gonna play the shit out of it
