Polymorph is even more annoying for a priest running resurrect, for a mage with a potential image mirror and the new effigy (sheep is a 0 mana minion...)
If this card was able to hit more then one dude at a time for lower damage then it might see play...as is it's dust
Flame Lance seems like a good arena card. Blizzard is slightly nerfing Mage in arena with Dragon's Breath and Flame Lance, which are lesser versions of Fireball and Polymorph.
Yup, mage can now deal with boulderfist ogre (but also all the 6/8) for 5 mana instead of 6. Plus, it's a common card. Generally, a mage doing lots of victories in arena run 2 or more fireball. Now, they will have even more removal spells. I fear mage will still be the most OP class in arena...
Flame Lance weakens Mage because you may be offered no polymorphs in your arena run. Flame Lance can’t deal with minions like sunwalker, belcher, or piloted shredder as efficiently as polymorph can. Fallen Hero is the new Mage card you have to worry about.
Mage need more removel!
When I think of flame lance I think of so many cool possibilities, not 8 flat damage, very underwhelming again.
People compare this to polymorph, but it's also likely a worse fireball.
R.I.P Dragon's Breath
I'd actually prefer Dragon's Breath to this one.
Dragon's Breath can cost less and can target face.
Why you guys compering this to polymorph? This is not a mage class card.
And the "Dumbass of the day award" goes to...

You guys familiar with the word "troll"?
Even trolls know how to read. This guy's post was just a straight up burst of idiocy.
Yeah, a troll. Lol.
I didnt realize the boarder. and card wasnt updated as a mage card. So it is no big deal.
so 1 more mana than polymorph and you don't need to deal with the sheep. sounds legit.
I really don't get the point of this card. I mean, Polymorph is a basic card, so you can't even argue it is a worse version of a high-level card. It is better against minions with bad deathrattles, but so far they are not nearly common nor popular enough to warrant that. The only difference is that it causes damage, so it could be comboed with cards that perhaps cause damage to the enemy champion or heal you for each damage caused to minions, but (AFAIK lol) they don't exist yet. But that is seriously the only reason I can think to want that. Or if Blizzard thinks drawback minions will be the new meta (lol).
Yeah, I don't really see too much reason to play this card. Mage simply has more efficient tools than this. Small minions? Frostbolt. Medium minions? Fireball. Large minions? Polymorph, BGH, Fireball + Frostbolt, etc. Mage definitely doesn't need more removal, especially not one that is as clunky and unflexible as this one.
