Clarifications
- Cannot attack the same turn it was played if you use your Hero Power due to summoning sickness. (Source)
Can't attack.
Inspire: Can attack as normal this turn.

I think it would be better as a 4/4. If you play it on turn 2, unless you really want to attack, I doubt you'll hero power on turn 3. You're more likely to inspire on turn 4, which is no better than the Ancient Watcher + Owl combo, cause Ancient Watcher can't attack unless you spend 2 mana, aka Owl.
there is no set turn which you hero power. Hero power is just an inefficient use of mana when you can't play on curve.
Also it's better than the owl, ancient watcher combo as a hero power doesn't take up a card slot in your deck like an owl does.
But on the other hand this card is still god awful. No ranked play and will be an average arena card.
I'm saying it's better to hero power on turn 4 than 3. And I'm saying Ancient watcher is a 4/5 which can't attack, which is way better than a 2/4 and you can just use an owl to let it attack instead of 2 mana every turn. I'm just saying Ancient watcher combo is better imo.
Maybe, I've just personally never been a fan of silencing my watcher. I think it's best just taunted imo. I tend to run owls in decks more for removal and pushing for final lethals.
Not sure about nowadays, but it used to be really good against early aggro decks. Taking out a few of their early game creatures before you put out drakes and/or giants.
Wastes an owl, loses Taunt. This card doesn't need the owl and doesn't lose taunt
The text "attack as normal" meaning normaly you can't attack more than once each turn unless ofc windfury. I guess that will also apply to charge attacks as well, since it could have been playable, comparable to 2/5 charge common minion.
I also like the battlecry activate HP (hence inspire) idea.
i have a question if i play it on turn 4 and hero power can it attack immediately ?
Frankly. The only way i see the Inspire mechanic working is through something like Hobgoblin specified for Inspire minions.
Say the minions would get 1/1 whenever Inspire is triggered. That could potentially make cards like these playable and maybe even viable in certain decks.
Yes, i am aware that the new Coldarra Drake and Maiden of the Lake would become somewhat OP, but without something to benefit the minions aside from the Inspire effect themselves these cards will be dead on arrival.
Exactly what I was thinking, make much more sense and lets this card actually be playable, idk why Blizzard thought 2/4 was high enough stats to cripple it with a 2 mana tax to even attack.
I see this card as a good 2 drop card but requires 2 mana each turn to activate. I like the new mechanic but with its stats might not be worth getting excited about. Might be interesting to see brawls centered around this card though!
Turn 1 - Coin -> This!
Turn 2 - Ancient Watcher
Turn 3 - Dancing Swords
Turn 4 - Wailing Soul!
Turn 5 - THERE IS NO TURN 5, YOU LOST ON TURN 4 BECAUSE YOU PLAYED TERRIBLE CARDS.
Haha, that Turn 5 gave me a good chuckle! 4Head
Legit
I laughed lol. However, the wailing soul ancient watcher combo is actually really good with druid though, it's stupidly strong and the games are easy as hell.
Now I don't know what the meta will look like after TGT but from where I'm standing now, this is damn near vomit worthy
Coin this turn 1 and attack on turn 2 with hero power, fair trade? Maybe not for the rest of the game
2 attack is a quite embarrassing stats for board control/trade purpose in the early game I guess? You can't kill a zombie chow, can't kill a mana wrym, can't kill a Northshire Cleric and along those lines. But if you can get a mark of wild on him turn 2 as a druid, it could be quite awesome( thanks to the +2/+2 and TAUNT) Guess we'll have to leave it to the theorycraft people to do the job now.
all those cards are some kind of control oriented 1 drops(edit: ok wyrm is aggro). the main problem is still voidwalker
Art is awsome, should be on a 4+ mana card though, this guy looks way more powerful than a 2!
Tempting to call this garbage like most people but i am not so sure. You put this out, it gets ignored, next turn you put out a 3 mana inspire guy, and if they ignore both again you put out another 2 mana inspire guy, hero power and start steamrolling. I think that decks like face hunter are going to be forced to trade with things like this or risk getting smashed once a few inspire minions are out. Inspire is definitely a mechanic which benefits from your minions being ignored which is what everyone is saying people are going to do to this card. Ignoring too many of these could get dangerous, will have to wait and see.
This guy would be amazing if they release a low mana card which has, inspire: give taunt!
