The coin that the Trade Prince gives its opponent can only be used once per turn.
Gallywix's Coin it says right here: this turn only, which means you can use the coin only once per turn and not spam use it like the guy above me suggested. Ofc it triggers Gadget, but who cares about that card anymore :D
the this turn only refers to the fact that the mana crystal only lasts for "this turn". The mana crystal gain isnt permanent. That's what they are trying to say I'm pretty sure
The effect serves only one purpose. It discourages spells of your foes to protect other minions on the board, just like Loatheb but slightly weaker. Got to be something resembling zoolock.
ok.. so when this is on the field, the opponent has infinite amount of mana as long as he can use one spell?
After using a spell, he gains a coin. He can use that coin he just got to gain another coin with +1 mana and repeat this to get infinite amount of mana?
That does not happen. He does not proc on his own coin. The coin even said it doesn't. So you cant get infinite mana from one spell.
He copies the coin, but he gives out his own coin which he does not copy.
Gallywix is a good salesman and knows that his coins are not worth other spells so he manipulates people into giving spells for his coins but never wants his coins back.
Awesome card. Just really like how Blizzard is trying to push rogue away from miracle as the only viable constructed archetype (already hindered by the Gadgetzan Auctioneer nerf). There should be potential for a lot of new and viable decks for the class. (Mech, mill, pirate, control, etc...)
I usually only see him in Miracle decks or Miracle in combination with some cheap Mech minions. Then they drop him late game to buy them that extra turn to fish for lethal. Pretty much the same thing as Mech Mage using Boom or Archemage.
Mhm. The card hasn't seen as much play as I expected, but there's little reason to not play Gallywix in the new-age miracle/control Rogue archetype. Generally a better Sylvanas Windrunner for the class; he performs a similar role disrupting the opponent's turn, just that he's a bigger body.
My favourite card so far. Going to have a lot of fun with this and Loatheb prancing around.
Shame he looks like Jar Jar Binks' dad in a hat...
By "spell", I hope they mean "non-coin spell". If not... well, this guy's good for 400 dust and that's about it. Think about it; if he copies the coin, your hand gets filled with worthless crap for the rest of the game and your opponent gets infinite mana.Ignore this.Gallywix's Coin
Actually this is like CHO with a small drawback, giving some little tempo advantage in exchange of an enemy spell. It's body pass the vanilla test and 8 health are very good. I think this is an excellent card for rogue since rogue have lots of card to be always ahead in tempo.
