All you have to do is look at the previous comments below. Grab some popcorn and enjoy the read.
"Probably the best legendary in the expansion. It's going to be EVERYWHERE." - some random guy, 2014
Rogues are crying.. :(
Still trying how I can make use of this guy.
Inherently he seems like an amazing card. Anyone got any ideas?
He works really nicely as an anti-mage tech, especially against Flamewaker decks.
Good fitting in Aggro/Deathrattle/Bloodlust shaman decks with 2xBL when you have 4-5 creatures/totems on board waiting top-deck BL on 7-10 turns if you unfortunately don't have BL in hand: opponent wants to remove it ASAP keeping your creatures alive and often still give you one 4 mana trogg.
Everyone keeps saying that mage will cry, but the class that will cry the most is rogue. Unless their flurry is 6+ damage, it's game over.
The Epic Sax Guy plays his saxophone, slowly and quietly, while trying to hold back the welling tears in his eyes.
Perfect synergy with Spellbender.
You either get your Troggzor alive + 3/5 trogg + wasted enemy spell, either 3/5 trogg + 5/5 trogg + 2 wasted enemy spells.
Playing this combo on turn 7 or later can change the course of the game dramatically.
Anyone else disappointed that this card didn't live up to anticipation? I was hoping for him to be big.
i really don't know if this card is usefull to my deck :P but sometimes i can feel the rage comming trough my screen vs mage :P
If you don't have dr. boom this is a good second choice.
My first Legendary ^^
Actually turned out to be one of the least-playable legendaries in GvG. It's not that a 6/6 that spawns 3/5s is bad per se, but... it's just overshadowed by Dr. Boom, which is less flashy but far more reliable in the 7 slot. Most decks won't particularly mind trading in a minion or two to kill this, and in cases where it gets taken out by a single spell, you're usually better off just playing Cairne Bloodhoof or even Piloted Sky Golem. Sure, there's the dream scenario in which your opponent has to use two spells and you still have 8 power lying around — say, against Miracle Rogue or Freeze Mage — but that's so few and far between that it's practically irrelevant. I wanted to like this guy, I really did. But even if I open him in my next pack, I'm not playing him anytime soon.
Yeah i personally think hes a really great legendary, but Dr. boom is keeping the 7 drop spot from anything else due to how reliably powerful he is.
Sadly it seems Mister Boom is stronger as an general-purpose 7 drop in recent tournaments. There are two options on How to remove the Earthinator.
For aggro decks like zoolock, wrecking it with minions or weapon is the preferred option, as it only has 6 health. Usually you can easily trade into it if you already have minions on the board. So it doesn't really work against aggro.
Control deck can remove the 6/6 with exactly one spell, and just let the 3/5 trogg spawn. In this case the card is more like Cairne Bloodhoof which can take two blows, specialized in anti-spell. This card is powerful in control vs control where the calculation of removal spells in hands becomes highly precise.
he didn't spend 10 years in med school to be called mister boom
If I ever get this card, I might be tempted to run a full on Trogg deck. You know, for science.
Just pulled this guy in the third of my 3 free packs! Didn't even know he existed (been trying to avoid any spoilers). Very happy.
I assume the Burly Rockjaw's effect doesn't go off as well, correct? (i.e. this summons a 3/5, not a 3/5 that immediately gets +2 attack?)
