3 Cards 7 Mana for 5 AoE damage and 8-8 body sounds reasonable.

2) it does not die. It gains the stats, not card text.
3) a 7 mana 8 8 plus 5 damage AoE is really good

However, with the deathrattle-themed Naxxramas Adventure coming this summer, I expect it to become a lot more prominent! For instance, imagine using a Void Terror on turn 3 to hatch a turn 2 Nerubian Egg...
