Mistermath's Card Ratings for Voyage to the Sunken City:
6/10
By itself, the card isn't that good, but boy does this get nuts quickly in a miracle priest deck. There, the dream is to use this alongside Radiant Elemental to chain together massive naga-spell combos to build up a ridiculous board. While this card is clearly good in tandem with those cards, though, it's painfully bad without them, and the deck as a whole seems to suffer both from a lack of sufficient anti-aggro, as well as a lack of reliable finishing tools against control. However, the potential is definitely there.
Edit: The buff to +1/+2 makes this a power-creeped Divine Strength. Interestingly, it's still a 6/10 despite that, as this was more of an enabler than a payoff, although the buff will certainly be felt.
This is a constant enabler for naga.
Good for pushing the archetype.
Overall ok card, a bit too slow for the set power level
We have seen no naga card for priest yet, so it is uncertain how this can work out.
However, if we only get 2 naga cards, than this card is extremely situational to be working consistently.
We have only seen 3 priest cards yet for this expansion but so far I am disappointed with the outcome.
So now that we have seen some nagas, this card does appear to have good, if boring, synergy. Play a naga, generate a copy of this. Play this, activate any nagas you are holding. I do like combos that feed into themselves.
Shadowbishop should have been “if you have no holy spells” instead of “if you have only shadow spells”.
Sort of works like Libram of Wisdom? Except a bit more balanced, and a bit less vulnerable to silence. This might enable a spell-heavy priest deck depending on what priest's naga look like.
I'm kind of excited for Naga. They seem sort of like a combination between the corrupt + spellburst mechanics, only a lot more efficient and way easier to play. (Also I just love the design of Naga)
