Im happy to see that control decks finally get buffed since its 80% aggro decks on ladder.
A set of cards pretty much always means that every class gets buffed...? If the cards wouldn't make a class better then nobody would use them?
But I get your point tho, the Mage cards seems really strong although they need a lot of set up. But please just wait until all cards are released.
Ohh super cool i think they will release it early August and btw if we dont wanna purchase those 50 packs ... will there be um pack for gold.. like those for classic and GVG ? If they dont do this then we need to craft whole bunch of cards and i doubt they will do that :D
The money thing is for pre-purchase only. When the expansion is launched you can simply buy them for gold or money as the other gvg and classic packs. This was explained on the announcement stream!
bye bye GvG!
I was actually kinda hoping for an improvement in the ladder/reward system as well... If people get rewarded for reaching a higher rank, they will also feel better about buying the new packs in order to make better competitive decks.
I recently finally managed to finish my Control Warrior deck, but it still feels kinda meh since there is nothing to achieve with it (on ladder).
Of course that can still happen. Not everything has been revealed!
And even though Blizzard doesn't do it a lot, that feature could come in a separate, smaller update after Grand Tournament.
I think expansion will be released 11th/12th Avgust. On official page of TGT we can vote for 19 cards and for 19 days it gonna be 11th Avgust which is Thuesday/Wednesday (maintenance/new Taver Brawl) and also preorder for BRM lasted for 2 weeks so if promotion start next week and u add 2 more weeks on that we have same date. I only guess its not official :) And sry on my English. Its not my primal language.
I want to make an inspiring paladin deck.
Good thing that they invited Kripp to cast it.
To me this announcement is a huge disappointment. After the setup Blizzard did for it I expected something bigger, like innovation to the game itself.
I was hoping that they had finally come up with a rewarding system for playing ranked. A system that gives ranked play a signification above simply playing and seeing your rank.
I really like the game but to me it more and more seems as if Blizzard goes the easy way putting out more cards without changing something with real impact. Just think of how many absolutely awesome cards and now hero concepts this community creates in a really short period of time. And please don’t tell me Tavern brawl is anything. It also comes completely without a real rewarding system, in fact it encourages you to play only until you won one game and that is per week.
I cannot help but get the impression that either Blizzard is intimidated by the status Hearthstone reached in E-Sports, Twitch, Tournaments and all and therefore flinches from advancement or that they simply look at their revenues and see no need to change anything. (offering a cosmetic card back to encourage people to buy a SMALL part of the new cards for $49.99 USD does not help that impression)
In any way Hearthstone must have an insane income to effort value.
"Just think of how many absolutely awesome cards and now hero concepts this community creates in a really short period of time"
In order to actually use 130 cards in the game, it's not just 'hey Hearthstone team, be creative and make 130 new cards!'. They first have to get the ideas for 130 cards, then program their individual mechanics, then test them with each other and all existing cards, and most importantly: balancing!
If most of the user created cards would actually be in the game, it would be an unplayable mess of overpowered cards. Think about it, it's actually quite impressive that they managed to make a lot of good and usable cards with GvG while only one (Dr Boom) turned out to be actually overpowered.
Exactly! People often underestimate the work Blizzard puts in thinking of new game mechanics/keywords, making cards and balancing them. Especially if you consider the fact that they have to think of 150-200 new cards each year.
I have to say that the Arena Rewards are getting updated. It gives now either one classic, gvg or tourney pack. Hope one of the mods will update this on the mainpage. Source is the hearthstone website
At first I thought it was a male Naga, but it looks weird. Blue Drakonid maybe?
Great new expansion but the new Arena 'reward' is horrendous :(
Man , you are complaining about people that complain about hilarious reasons... that seams pretty hilarious ^^
You see, the issue is that I collect cardbacks and I find that $50 for a cardback is incredibly expensive. Sure you get the packs, but making it so the ONLY way you can get is by paying the $50 is really infuriating. If they made it a more achievable goal of like $5 I wouldnt mind at all. I have about 4k dust saved up and I wanna keep up my cardback collection because I have been playing since beta.
I agree on everything else because the game got a bunch of awesome stuff that it needed, but the cardback is a huge letdown and I hope they change it or something in the pre-sale. Doubt it though.
I see Wilfred Fizzlebang in a purple-colored card(warlock) in the trailer. HYPE!!
