Quote from Blizzard“Well, look who it is!”
Some new faces have just shown up at the inn! Hearthstone®: Heroes of Warcraft is happy to welcome new Heroes as they pull up a chair at the game table!
These new Heroes put a fresh face on the classes you know and love, and bring along some unique surprises of their own.
Picture Perfect
These new Hearthstone Heroes will feature beautifully detailed animated Hero portraits, including all-new art never before seen in the Blizzard universe. The first new Hero we’re introducing is a famed Warrior—the mighty King of Ironforge himself, Magni Bronzebeard!
Aside from the vibrant new Hero portrait artwork, these new Heroes also come with unique Hero power animations. Magni’s version of the Warrior’s “Armor Up!” Hero Power is sure to reinforce the fact that his majesty is not to be trifled with!
New Heroes also come with unique emotes and voices that convey their individual personalities, a play area featuring a custom visual theme, and nifty “entering the game” animations so you can greet (or intimidate) your next opponent in style.
If that wasn’t enough, new Heroes also come with a unique card back that will impress even the mightiest of dwarven kings! The steadfast “Magni” card back is added to your collection immediately after purchasing the Magni Bronzebeard Hero, and can be used with any deck of your choice.
New Heroes will be available for purchase from the in-game Shop for $9.99 USD! Usurp the traitorous Garrosh Hellscream and bring down the hammers of dwarven justice with Magni Bronzebeard; the first new Warrior Hero for Hearthstone—coming soon!
New Heroes do not add new cards to your collection or change the classes’ activated Hero Power and are not considered new classes.
thats a pretty awesome trailer, I'm pumped. who else?
I like this! Now everytime I see one of these alternative heroes, I'll know my opponent is a twat with no sense of dignity or enough intelligence to know that you shouldn't give Blizzard 10 dollars for a small cosmetic reward.
The sad part is that people will buy this. "Please, Blizzard-senpai, be gentle when penetrating my love hole!" I crie every tiem.
No wonder Blizzard told this guy to stop what he was doing last month. The skinning is a rather easy thing to do and should not be $9.99
well what a crap addition, we want new cards, NEW HEROES not fucking animated portraits
this game need new game modes, more deck slots, more cards.. not portraits
and BTW 10 bucks for that is just stupid
This should be the kind of reward you give to players for reaching higher ranks in the season. Like "get 1 emblem for reaching rank 5 each season, and trade 5 emblems for a new hero portrait!" or something like that.
Your game is based on selling digital cards to people. Why do you also need to sell overpriced cosmetic rewards? Of course this is just a rethoric question; I think we all know what motivates Bli$$ard these days.
And there are twats out there that will fall for this.
Just because everyone seems to be gawking at $10; Dear Blizzard; I would personally pay $29.99 a hero. Just lettin ya know.
idiots are everywhere ;)
But... but... Valeera!
For this ... I would pay $1.00. Not ten.
Lord Dreadman
This is something I was looking forward ever since BETA. I hope they add more female characters! Definitely getting this portrait, I main Warrior.. I hope they made different effects for golden portraits though.
I find kinda ok money only for cosmetic changes, I would rage if It would change the gameplay but since it doesn't well...I'm ok with a money only option...the problem here is that it's kinda overpriced
Nothing is better than Le Majordomo
If there is something I would pay 9.99$ for is an auto squelch option right about now.
Is $10 too much for what you're getting? Probably. But I'm glad it's a cosmetic thing and not paying for "extra lives" or "boosts" or whatever.
Undecided on whether I'll buy any of these, but I'd rather support Hearthstone than a lot of other games out there with a lot more questionable "DLC" tactics.
People pay 10 euro for heroes in HOTS, so why the hell not this. Oh I forgot, you get some rehashed skills too in HOTS, so it's a deal yeah?
another way to make $100 per server per account for cosmetic changes... good job Apple... i mean Blizzard
Bli$$ard
Magni is king of Ironforge, of the Bronzebeard Dwarves. His daughter, Moira, is the Empress of the Dark Iron Dwarves, but only because she married Thaurissan. Even now, the council of the three hammers was only estabilished with Varian Wrynn's (human king of Stormwind and leader of the Alliance) pressure, after Moira tried to claim the throne of Ironforge for her.
Even though I am totally okay with having portraits as a paid feature, $10 is insane for ONE portrait. Warrior is one of my lesser played classes, so I will most likely pass on this.
