HTC Invitational this Weekend
This weekend is home to the HTC Invitational, a $5,000 prize pool tournament featuring players from Teamliquid, Cloud9, and some of Hearthstone's best. The sixteen player tournament will be streamed on Trump's Twitch on both Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 8 AM PDT (11 AM EDT, 3 PM GMT).

Weekly Card Design Competition: New Cards, Old Faces
Week seventeen of our card design competition is live, and this week's theme is New Cards, Old Faces. This week's competition involves creating a new cards which summons existing minions into play - but be warned, no transform effects! In addition to this restriction, cards must cost 6 mana or less.
Some examples of cards we've seen do this would be Muster for Battle which when added in GvG was an alternative way to summon Silver Hand Recruits over the Paladin hero power, or Piloted Shredder which can summon from a wide variety of minions already present in the game.

Posted May 23, 2015 (Blackrock Launch)Ancient of harmony would be amazing in fatigue druid. "Oh hey, we're both in fatigue now, *double Ancient of Harmony*." and suddenly the druid is 6 turns ahead on fatigue, along with 2 8/8's, Games pretty much over.

Posted May 18, 2015 (Blackrock Launch)I like the idea behind cheap deal, but realistically it wouldn't be played because the card itself cost 2mana and that's not really such a great deal worth giving your enemy 2 coins. If it cost 1mana, I could see it but at 2... naw. As for Harmony, that is a HUGE downside. It's basically the same as saying "you get no carddraw for 3 turns", that is insane and it would not see play. People might say "well it's a 8/8 for 5mana, so good!" but to that I would say this, do you see Druids running Fel Rever? Ok then.

Posted May 17, 2015 (Blackrock Launch)Unless they give Wisps an ability (Whenever a Wisp damages a Demon Lord, destroy that Demon Lord and all trees around him) or create a minion-based Gadgetzan, Wisps won't be a thing outside Casual. Decks are getting way too efficient these days.
