Deck Spotlight: Spark's Beasty Zoo
Spark's got another Hunter deck to share with us this evening, and it's Beasty Zoo! The deck is an adaption of his old Naxxramas Death Trap Hunter, so if you remember that deck you're set!
The strategy behind this deck revolves around playing on curve minions which synergize with Deathrattle and Beast interactions to control the board efficiently and pressure the opponent's life heavily. And yes, Feign Death does indeed make an appearance.. which gives so much value to mid-late game Savannah Highmane and Sylvanas Windrunner drops.
The deck is quite affordable at 3020 6240 dust, 3200 less if you already have Sylvanas Windrunner & Ragnaros the Firelord, and consists primarily of Naxxramas minions. You can check out the deck below, or head on over to the guide to learn more about the deck.

Deck Spotlight: Tempo Mechapriest
We're also taking a look at SupaDupaFlyPro's Tempo Mechapriest deck, and it features the new Priest legendary, Vol'jin! Keeping board control and making efficient trades, all while damaging your opponent is the goal with this deck. Shadowboxer makes an appearance which helps take out low health enemy minions while you're healing yourself, and reducing some higher ones just enough to take them down. Our favourite Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing combo also makes an appearance in this deck; It's a necessity for dealing with aggro!

Posted Dec 18, 2014 (GvG Launch)The most important thing to deck spotlights is that decks need to have a guide element. Something that can teach people why/how the deck works.
I spotlight decks from our deck architects (site rank of awesome and consistent guide creators!), popular decks (how much traffic they've been getting), and sometimes a staff pick if a deck looks really cool. I also try to keep our spotlights varied so that each class gets attention, although that doesn't always work out. Oh, and budget decks are really important too with such a broad audience, so when possible, those get a lot of love. I hate featuring Wallet Warrior.
All decks get reviewed before they're spotlit, and there's even some playtesting which happens at various ranked levels of play when it isn't certain if a deck will be good enough for the masses.
