Friday Fun Decks - Week 11

Friday Fun Decks

What's better than after a long week of grinding things out at work, school or Ranked Ladder to kick back and relax with some Friday Fun Decks going into the weekend?

Well, we brought you a selection of decks to do just that. There's some standard decks, some wild decks, but most of all these are decks with interesting cards that haven't seen much use, Archetypes that have been forced out by better competition in the same class and combos that are often too unreliable to see play on the Ranked Ladder, but they are FUN. Truth be told though not everyone's idea of fun will be the same, so we cast a wide net and hopefully brought something for everyone.

Let's dive in!

Whip Combos Warrior

Warrior has a long tradition of Enrage cards and cards that do well when damaged in small amounts, like Grommash Hellscream and the recently moved back to Standard Bloodhoof Brave.

Content creator Mason Steel made this Standard deck that tries to use and abuse these cards with recent additions like Spitting Camel and Bloodsworn Mercenary. Check out his video(s) for interesting game play!

Zephrys Control Shaman

Yeah, I know we are likely all a bit tired of the amount of Shaman everywhere, but look at this deck first before judging: No Evolve, No Corrupt the Waters, not even a Mogu Fleshshaper. The Friday Fun Decks is a safe zone against decks like that.

So what does this Standard deck do? Control the board. Win by running faster decks out of resources and options. Bring joy to people who like to play Shaman, but hate Quest and Evolve. Good stuff.

OTK Zombie Priest

I have a friend who is a Priest main, and she says the greatest joy of being a Healer in games is that you get to decide who gets to live and who dies. This Wild deck goes one step further and doesn't just make megalomaniac decisions about life and death, it literally heals you to death.

The basic idea of this deck is to play and kill 2x Zombie Chow and then use Baron Rivendare and 2x Twilight's Call with Auchenai Phantasm and an activator to give your opponent the kiss of death.

Infinite Lucentbark Druid

Where the previous deck uses it's heals to directly kill the opponent, this deck is more subtle and uses it's heals in the more usual way by healing it's own stuff. And then spawning a board full of 4/8's with taunt. And then doing it again. And again. Just as long as it needs to, to grind it's opponent to a pulp. Okay, maybe "more subtle" isn't quite the right way to describe the deck, but you get the point.

This Standard deck has a nice guide section where the creator explains some of their choices and what to look out for when playing the deck. Give it a like to show your appreciation!

Supreme Demon Warlock

Warlocks are, according to lore, powerhungry madmen, who'll do anything for a little bit more forbidden knowledge or undeserved power. I can tell you from reliable sources (i.e. myself) that this is not the only thing we want. We also want to laugh maniacally while we do these things.

This Standard deck provides all that in abundance. It's tricky to get the quest to completion, but once you do you get to draw 0 cost cards. And with Arch-Villain Rafaam this means drawing 0 cost Legendaries. And that will make even the most cold hearted Warlock laugh.

Highlander Quest Hunter

Let's go back to back Quest decks, in this case a Standard Hunter Quest deck. Hunter might honestly be the most under appreciated of the Quests that were introduced with Saviors of Uldum and it deserves some love.

Especially in this case when the creator did something interesting with the deck and combined it with a Highlander build so it could have access to things like Bloodlust and Savage Roar through Zephrys the Great to make use of the fact the deck is constantly trying to fill the board. It has a nice guide section too!

N'Zoth Rogue

The best attack is the attack your opponent least expects. Well this N'Zoth Rogue has several attacks that opponents might not expect, and despite the off meta character of the deck, it's still very successful.

Our reason for sharing it is mostly based on the fact it features Anka, the Buried a card that came from a massively hyped reveal and turned into one of the least utilized legendaries in the Saviors of Uldum set. Hopefully future sets will show the card off even more.

That's it for this "Friday Fun Decks", hope you find these decks as fun and interesting as we did when we put this list together. If not, why not post your idea of a fun deck in the comments, for future inspiration to us and the rest of the community!

Cheers and have a good Weekend!
