Friday Fun Decks!

Friday Fun Decks

What's better than after a long week of grinding things out at work, school or Ranked Ladder to kick back and relax with some Friday Fun Decks going into the weekend?

Well, we brought you a selection of decks to do just that. There's some standard decks, some wild decks, but most of all these are decks with interesting cards that haven't seen much use, Archetypes that have been forced out by better competition in the same class and combos that are often too unreliable to see play on the Ranked Ladder, but they are FUN. Truth be told though not everyone's idea of fun will be the same, so we cast a wide net and hopefully brought something for everyone.

Let's dive in!

Astral Communion Druid

Let's start off with this Wild old favourite that's been enriched with some of the new Saviors of Uldum cards: Astral Communion Druid. The idea is to have Astral Communion and Biology Project in hand to get a quick start.

Then you can start rolling out the fatties. Some of the important additions for this type of deck are the new Saviors of Uldum cards Octosari which allows you to refill your hand and Colossus of the Moon which is sticky unless the victim of hard removal.

Anka Rogue

This Standard deck is not so much a build guide as it is a list of suggestions how to build around the new Saviors of Uldum card Anka, the Buried. Many of the death rattle cards in this deck can be replaced with other death rattles that you might have or that seem like a better plan.

The suggestions shouldn't limit you to just Standard either. There's plenty of cards in the Wild set that might make for fun or interesting inclusions. Just search your collection for Death Rattle cards and see what pops up and inspires you!

Naga Sand Witch OTK Mage

Our third offering today is a Standard Mage deck that uses and abuses several mana cheating cards, namely the new Saviors of Uldum card Naga Sand Witch and the Classic Sorcerer's Apprentice.

The biggest trick you will need to pull for this deck is making sure Malygos stays in your deck until you can lower his cost to (1) with Luna's Pocket Galaxy. If you can do that, the combo is on for double 15 damage Pyroblast to the face.

Pray to Yogg-Saron Warlock

There's no real budget options today, given that we did a budget decks post earlier this week, but this deck is the lowest dust total of the decks we feature today, clocking in at 5840. Even then there's plenty of room to replace cards you might not have.

The idea of this Wild deck is pretty simple. 1) Play spells 2) Use the new Saviors of Uldum card Expired Merchant to discard Yogg-Saron, Hope's End and lastly 3) Play Yogg and stand back.

Wild Lynessa Paladin

This Wild deck tries to leverage all kinds of buffs into creating a massive Lynessa Sunsorrow. One of the cards used for this is the new Saviors of Uldum card Pharaoh's Blessing

Being that it also features many spells due to the buffs, there's a natural way to also include Shirvallah, the Tiger and the healing from that will keep you alive long enough to get a second win condition in Uther of the Ebon Blade

Hack the System Midrange Warrior

One of the main class fantasies about Warriors (in whatever game you might play them) is that they are weapons masters, out to bash things into submission. Well, this Standard deck fulfills that fantasy and it has a nice guide to help you out to boot.

It all starts with the Hack the System Quest, and through weapons like Livewire Lance it leads to a Heropower Anraphet's Core that summons many 4/3 minions to augment your onslaught. Sorry that happened!

Highlander Murloc Shaman

Sometimes you see a deck name and go "Wait what?!" only to open it and realize that it may not actually be as insane as you thought it was. This Standard deck elicited this reaction in us, so we felt the need to share it.

We are all here today to have some fun, and this is the deck building challenge that some of you might enjoy: make a Highlander deck, but with MURLOCS. Maybe this deck needs to evolve more into an early game pressure deck, maybe you have to go more for late game, maybe this is a cursed idea that should have never seen the light of day. Who knows! Finding out will be the fun part for some people, so if this is your kind of jam, good luck!

That's it for this "Friday Fun Decks", hope you find these decks as fun and interesting as we did when we put this list together. If not, why not post your idea of a fun deck in the comments, for future inspiration to us and the rest of the community!

Cheers and have a good Weekend!
