Cry me a river when you get this card out with hecklebot.
I dont get it. Why rarity of cards are like this? a lot of shit cards as EPIC (that 0/5 or a other examples from previous expansions). and a lot of insane cards as COMMON. walking fountain and now this.
They have said before that rarity is for a card's effects complexity rather than it's power level. Of course, more complex effects tend to be stronger like it happens with most epics or Legendaries which btw have effects that devs want to see happen only 1 time in a match on average (there is the whole discover thing but well you know).
Also, class cards tend to be stronger than neutral ones regardless of rarity.
Here is why I am afraid of this card:
Anka, the Buried + this card + Necrium Vial and Backstab on him to get +9/+9 on cheap charge cards like Stonetusk Boar / Southsea Deckhand or even Bluegill Warrior to deal 10 - 11 damage with each charge minion.
you make it sound bad lets put it this way 1 round Anka, the Buried your Anubisath Warbringer is 1 mana, round you play your Anubisath Warbringer play [card ]Preparation[/card] into Necrium Vial you Backstab your Anubisath Warbringer now you got 6 mana left for your +9/+9 2x Stonetusk 2x Southsea Deckhand 1x Bluegill Warrior and you got 53 dmg otk
and imagine you activated him with your Necrium Blade for additional +3/+3 (68 damage with minions + blade damage = 71 damage OTK)
Also if you wait more, you can use double Necrium Vial (with preps) to go over 100 damage OTK next turn..
Also, if you play someone that just loses his internet connection all of a audden, that's an OTK. It's also a lot more probable than all of the above.
I think that you're right, that is definitely a scary combo, but here are the positives:
1. Rogue now seriously lacks the tools to get to the point in the game to easily get that sort of combo. Strong late game cards for rogue like Valeera the Hollow rotated out before Rise of Shadows, and since Vanish got rotated to wild (still a little sad about that...), rogue has only Fan of Knives to deal with aggro decks.
2. In very niche situations, this combo could be rogue's answer to warrior. For RoS, rogues often just didn't have the damage to break through a warriors armor, so this sort of combo could potentially balance the Rogue versus Warrior matchup by providing enough damage to break through the armor. Of course, bomb warrior directly counters combo decks, which really have to draw through their deck, so really, who knows?
That looks powerful...
It is one of the best minions that can be played for the same cost, good for arena
edit: uhm, i tried to think as a zoo player or some shit like that (which i'm really not thank god) and nvm, Pandahero123 is right :) dumb idea
edit2: SO RUDE. This community is way too salty, I apology, why keeping the neg votes?
so you kill a 9/6 to get a 3/3?
^^'
i forsee silence minions being in alot of decks the next meta ;)
At turn 6 you play Anka, the Buried and this next turn you get bunch of 1 mana 4/4 deathrattle minions.
Or play it twice for hand full of 7/7 one mana deathrattle minions and some 7/7+ minions with normal cost. It's probably not enough for a deathrattle rogue but it's closer I guess.
This could work with Paladin mech, which actually could be quite scary, you could draw this with Prismatic Lens.............play it early with it....and power up the mechs ;0
Im gonna try this in my muckmorpher deck. Just hitting one Alakir or Walking Fountain seems like a lot if value!
buff to Conjurer's Calling and evolves?
you need 2 turns for that. theres no way you will have 2 girls stick around a whole turn.
