Pretty interesting card, I like it. Plot twist synergy, hero power synergy, decent stats and impacts the board when you play it, warlock needs survival with a lot of its good survival rotating, and it's a neat mechanic.
Guys this is a demon! that = 5 extra healing, kappa.
I like that they try to do something different with the mechanics.. but just a 6 mana 4/6 taunt with a battle cry heal.. that might be worth something.. this is just too conditional.. if you get it at the wrong time it’s just shitty
glad they are adding this mechanic back
I am, too - I'm a fan of digital card games doing stuff like this on draw where there's a benefit to the drawer but the flip side is added intel for the opponent.
yea, we missed so much flame leviathan
jokes apart nice mechanic
Problem is unlikely this is the only demon jn your deck
Literally Topdeck Healing
I think it has pretty solid stats and effect for being 6 mana.
A 4/6 taunt is pretty good stat line.
And the effect is for free on draw... sure, it may wont work on full health(or not fully at 27-29health), but Control warlock takes a lot damage against aggro decks and you may tap for removal.
This card could save you a turn or two.
Also good with Plot Twist.
and if you go in wild, DK Guldan will revive this minion too.
Solid in Standard
Very Good on wild.
I havent played wild in a while so i can't be 100% sure, but its not gonna see play in either. A good arena card though. the only case it would be playable is the one you mentioned. if the meta is full of zoo.
Maybe in Wild Even Warlock if the meta is aggressive.
(In standard it is totally different.)
Eh, 4/6 taunt for 6 mana is just too weak of stats to justify for the 4 health heal. With the DK around, this might have seen play to get a cheaper taunt demon out. It's just a barely-slightly better Hungry Ettin, and that's not even close to seeing play.
Cool card, cool idea, but won't see competitive play.
What about Plot Twist?
Plot twist is a weird card that's not necessary in any deck. the comment above is right on the its not gonna see competitive play part.
Deck is betrug, 2x this, sense demons, Guldan and som other non-demon-stuff.
Then you go betrug, coin sense demons to draw the broodmothers. Rush some things, gain some life. Then maybe they kill betrug somehow. But you just play guldan!
Get back betrug and the broodmothers!
Did I break hearthstone?
Downvoted causw Guldan rotates. Lol ppl never hear of wild then
Could be an okay card with Plot Twist but it feels like one I'd never want to play at 6 mana for those stats. Of course, with Amethyst Spellstone rotating out, Warlock might need to explore some other healing options.
But you don't have to play it, you just have to draw it! Controllock often has leftover mana and dead turns in mid-lategame when there's nothing to remove. This card can help you a lot against aggro without costing any mana, while it serves as a playable taunt when it fits. The stats are very inefficient, but I think the on-draw effect is really strong here since you won't be max health very often as controllock.
That's a good point about late-game 'lock - the taunt also helps the stats a bit. I wasn't implying that you had to play it, I was thinking more that once it's in my hand I wouldn't want to play it because of the cost and because of the desire to shuffle it back into my deck somehow to get more healing out of it.
Holy shit is this crazy in Arena.
