Sounds fun to me!
I like it, random secrets are much better than most random cards, because your opponent won't have the faintest clue what he needs to play around.
Good card. In general since secret paladins, most of the paladin secrets wasn't that good in order to waste a card for them. But cards like hydrologist make a good play, because they gave you free secret. In this card we have 2 secret for 1 card, so I think that in general it may see play.
I will give it a try. Who knows...
The way I understand it is: you are actually playing a secret...a random one but still a secret from your hand. we'll see.
I'll repeat what I said in the other thread: Secretkeeper only triggers when the player casts a secret. Spells cast by other spells are not considered to be cast by the player, therefore no buffs. Example: Scroll of Wonder's spell does not buff mana wyrm.
We won't know 100% until the expansion is released, but I wouldn't get my hopes up on this interaction.
Let me put it to you like this: If you have a Secret in your hand, and play it, that counts as buffing Secretkeeper. However, this card does not create that case; similar to Arcane Keysmith or Bellringer Sentry, you are not playing a secret - you are playing a card whose effect is to add a Secret to the board. Because the card is adding the secret and not you, Secretkeeper doesn't gain the buff.
We never had card like this so we can't even compare it to other cards. Scroll of Wonder's is completely different card. Technically you are casting a secret from your hand so it might work. Or not. We can't be sure.
You don't have to believe them, but they're right. It's known alround that cast and played are different keywords in hearthstone. It has been the same game mechanic for the last couple of years...
We never had even one single spell that casts other spells so we can't be sure 100% about this interaction.
This will not trigger Secretkeeper, despite the wording on the card. Secretkeeper only triggers from secrets played from hand.
Oh if only you said Discover...
It does say Twinspell, which is also very powerful. And we have Secret Plan.
"If only this card also summoned Ragnaros"
Can we take a minute to appreciate just how hilarious this card is?
Desperate Measures: Cast a random Paladin Secret
Art: Draenei paladin frantically flipping through a Kirin Tor spell book, casting spells at random.
10/10 just for the card name and artwork
hm... This card would actually trigger secret keeper and I believe the secrets cast would not be duplicates
I think it's easy to ignore this card and write it off as bad, but it has a few things going for it. for starters it has synergy with the secrets you already run in your deck since it can't put secrets on the board that you already own, idk how many secrets pally will have when the expac rolls out, but that could make it easier to find a specific secret. It's also a 2 in 1 card which means that it's more resources for an aggro deck to take advantage of; aggro decks lose divine favor, so aggro decks will need all the resources they can get again
This should trigger Secret Keeper because it says Cast, not put into play. Hopefully it works, else it feels like a wasted slot.
I mean, unless this card can activate secretkeeper, I’ll gladly pass. But who knows? Maybe they’ll update secretkeeper’s interaction with secrets. After Genn and Baku got rotated a year early, I believe that anything is possible in HS.
It should normally activate Secret Keeper. Mad scientist is PUT a secret FROM your deck so it is not cast (if I am not wrong a secret is a spell). Masked contender is PLAY a secret FROM deck. Arcane Keysmith is discover and put. In this case its CAST a random secret. I am maybe reaching but for me Secret Keeper should activate.
Yes, and don't work with any other card with secret synergy either and paladin have secrets really bad and useless like eye to eye, this card is not meh, it is just crap.
