Just remember guys we all slept on possessed lackey. Oblivitron has such a powerful deathrattle that if we get 1 or 2 more good dr mechs thinks can get out of control. I know that being a legendary minion makes the strategy more inconsistent but hunter has tracking to solve this problem.
The difference being lackey was 5 mana and summoned the minion from your deck. It doesn't see anywhere near as much play now at 6 mana. I agree we need to see what Mechs come out, however the slower hunter archetype probably dies (in standard) with the loss of Death knights and this is a slow card. This summons a mech from your hand and it doesn't specify that it summons a Mech with Deathrattle. So if you're running any Mechs without a Deathrattle then you could accidentally summon those to.
Oblivitron is good with mechathun getting 10/10 on board for 6 mana
Mechathuns deathrattle wont work if you have a minion on board, and considering mechathun doesnt die... sorry mate wont work
When mechathun triggers its deathrattle it’s still on board so probably not
Fishtard, of course it won't idiot. But 6 mana summon a Mecha'thun is good, and already better than Warrior's 9 mana summon a mecha'thun.
But it isn't 6 mana summon a mecha'thun is it. You have to have both cards in your hand by turn 6 and you aren't going to keep them in Mulligan. Not to mention Oblivitron then has to stick on board for a turn without getting silenced or ignored. If it sticks and you kill it off you still can't use your Mecha'thun until the turn after, then you have to have no other mecha in your hand to guarantee it. To slow.
Blizzard officially supporting Mecha'thun Hunter has started.
Triggering Mecha'thun's deathrattle without first killing it does nothing.
Duh, I was talking about 6 mana summon Mecha'thun, which is already better than Warrior's 9 mana summon Mecha'thun.
Gnomes? *shrugs* Gnomes tend to be mages and/or tinkers.
This looks like something from Ulduar, which is a huge raid on the northrend continent proximal to Dalaran.
Sure, but instead of Oblivitron you should put Spiritsinger Umbra for an instant effect :)
It won't be instant because 2-attack minion gets summoned first. Umbra will not activate since she is summoned last. It's the same as when Call To Arms summons Knife Juggler last, a combo you probably see more often but which works the same way.
Already looking forward to the Wild ladder clips from Trolden
I thought I remembered reading from one of the card devs that they didn't want to release cards like Voidcaller again. Thought to be fair this is 6 mana, and not 4 so it probably won't be a huge problem for mana cheating.
Oblivatron is worse than Terrorscale Stalker in any realistic scenario.
It's a garbage "let's check off the deathrattle Hunter theme" card. They won't make it decent because they won't risk Tier 1 Deathrattle Hunter again. The real question is, why not make something good in another thematic direction instead of giving us obvious trash?
Because - lazy game design and obvious rotation of Class power.
I’m no WoW expert, but doesn’t something like Oblivitron seem like a weird thing for a magical floating city to have? Not a joke, I’m actually curious. Does Dalaran have notable engineers or something?
what makes you think it is about dalaran ?
