Card Review
KiwiiNbacon has reviewed the new cards.
is this fake?
Looks like. At least, I don't see any watermarks.
of course its fake
Yes, both cards don't have expansion icons.
They already mentioned no new hero cards for this expansion, so yeah.
This article here:
No new hero is coming out with Year of the Dragon. We'll see some this year though.
It's bugged,
The biggest problem is that the patch didn't include any data for the new cards, otherwise people would just datamine the whole set. So yeah, it's fake.
Anyone else wish they jumped off the boomship...
*This has been missed opportunities with Prof. Shaun*
Hunters are good guys?? They obviously don't play standard ladder
Unless that book is in Hebrew, he's not reading the first chapter there... c'mon man
inb4 ppl in the future get super confused why Kabal Lackey and Possessed Lackey aint 1 mana 1/1s :)
What is the point of Chef Nomi? If the deck is empty Machatun is lot better ...
Thought that too, but it's mainly for those decks that go to fatigue that can't discard from hand as easily like Warrior. It also has great combination with Aggro Rogue as you can just muck around, and then Mira and Chef Nomi finish as a last ditch resort
I think this is more a last resource card for fast aggro decks
Dragoncaller Alanna was pretty good in big Mage, and from my experience playing it a lot, you basically could only play her when approaching or already in fatigue in control mirrors, and this is pretty similar. The upside is that you dont need supporting cards like Mecha'thun absolutely needs, and some classes simply have no way of playing it and killing it in the same turn.
My guess one last stand for an Agro deck:
EG: A rogue deck starts falling behind they Preparation into Myra's Unstable Element then play Chef Nomi.
Now they have one last chance with a hand full of cards and a board full of 6/6 bodies.
Or it could be another card like Nat, the Darkfisher because some cards are for flavor and not every card has to be constructed viable.
Mecha'thun will probably only have one deck that is able to pull it off at rotation, and probably with a low win rate because a lot of survivability will be gone. It also requires it to die without being silenced. Nomi is just straight value when you play it. Think of it like 10/10 for 10 mana, or 42/42 for 7 mana. I'll take the latter.
Outside Reckless Flurry current Mecha Warrior will be untouched come rotation...it's hyperbole to suggest they will not be at least as dominant, if not more so since most classes are losing SERIOUS pieces to their top decks...and if they add ANY decent control card for Warrior, an already effective deck in the current meta could become the defacto 'Thun deck, but at the very least competitive.
I wish this was 5$: First Week Bundle. During the first week of the expansion, a special 9 pack bundle will be available for $10. It will also include an Arena Ticket.
Zero cards to help aggro, good so far.
