BY THE POWER OF RAGNAROS IS THIS WEEK'S TAVERN BRAWL
FIGHT FOR THE AMUSEMENT OF THE EMPEROR! All cards in your hand have their costs reduced by one at the end of your turn.
Trivia
- This is the second time we've seen this brawl.
- This brawl requires that you build your own deck.
- The global effect active during the brawl is the same as the one on Emperor Thaurissan
How it Works
There's not much different in this gamemode outside of a normal game of Hearthstone. The only change is that everyone has their card costs reduced by one at the end of your turn, an effect that mimics Emperor Thaurissan.

FIGHT FOR THE AMUSEMENT OF THE EMPEROR!
Are you not entertained?
Easy win vs some kind of strange shaman deck.
I am having a ton of fun and positive winrate with my OTK Knuckles :D

ENJOYYY :D ;D
Tried a few different combo decks, but it seems Kripp would be considered the luckiest person in the world compared to me. Out of over 20 games, 13 of them opponent had their combo by turn 5 (and I hadn't even drawn a single piece).
I had fun with thief Rogue.
just playing Whizbang
Wrecking with witchwood apple treespeaker druid. All that board flood so early. Then buff and savage roar for the win. Ultimate keeps you going if they manage the first wave.
Enjoyed playing my overload/Malygos Shaman, basically ramp up the spellstone with board clears and big taunts with overload, drop Malygos, copy 3 times with spellstone and hit face with spells.
I had to throw Curator in to fish win condition from bottom of deck
Even shaman is OP in this mode.
Try Mecha’thun Druid and see what happens lol
I tried the auctioneer version. Absolutely ridiculous!
Turns out Kathrena on turn 5 is pretty good. Easiest pack of my life.
I really don't know why there's always a rant regarding the brawls. If you're only looking for the pack (like me), check your friendslist and play against a friend, that's the easiest way without any headache.
It's a celebration of who can make the most insane OTK combo decks imaginable.
No further comment really needed.
Easy pack with Mech Hunter.
So, building a deck, sure! Had a Paladin quest and played an auto-complete arthas without even looking at the cards beforehand. Who needs net-decking?
Lost the first game to a Shadowreaper Anduin + a huge amount of low cost cards priest that got him in the opening hand, then won against some random Zoolock (that actually had Emperor Thaurissan in the deck, talk about redundancy) as soon as I dropped Dr. Boom turn 4 and Tyrion Fordring turn 5
Even got a golden Hogger (or as I like to call it, one Legendary of my choosing from the new expansion) out of it.
Not sure if I broke this brawl... made a new shudderwock deck after the last one was sucking, this one is actually strong.
My current match has been going about an hour, and it's been my opponents turn for 10 minutes. I've tried exiting the game and restarting quite a few times, and it just stays on my opponents turn turn.
Really curious why everyone is on about mages? I've yet to see one this brawl.
So when I saw the brawl this week involved gradually reduced card cost, I instantly thought "Ohhh Druid can be viable again for 3 days!" My second thought was "the deck must have Juicy Psychmelon." Initially I thought I might create a big beast deck, or maybe taunt druid, but then I settled on a tweaked version of my old favorite: Malygos.
I just summoned 5 Malygos on turn 8 and nuked a warrior with 50+ health. Oh, and my first match was crushing the giant even lock everyone is net decking. Fun times. Enjoy!
