Vote For Your Favourite Community Created Mathematically Boomtastic Cards
It's time once again to vote for a winner in a card design competition.
This week, we asked you to design a Warlock card from The Boomsday Project with mathematical flavor.
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
- You must make a Warlock card from The Boomsday Project with mathematical flavor.
- In The Boomsday Project, each class is connected to a specific science: the Druid has Biology, the Mage has Astromony, etc. Originally, the Warlock was going to have Mathematics as its special thing, so we're bringing it back!
This Week's Finalists
Out of 30 entries, we've whittled it down to 8 of the community's favourites. Check them out below and then head on over to the voting thread to vote! Any additional tokens will appear in the voting thread.

I can't vote for Pyrothagoras because it's stats are not a pythagorean triple. It would have to be some combination of 3,4,5.
or 5, 12, 13... but a 13/12 or a 12/13 for 5 mana would be a bit op.
even if it couldn't attack.
No! It shouldn’t turn yellow that is cheating!!
it should just be thrown out casually just Incase you somehow do have lethal lmao
Automorphism, damn nice artwork, love it.
It is actually Ryze from League of Legends.
Pyrothagoras is Ryze.
Divide by Zero is the dream card for Mecha'thun....
It would be hard to benefit from tje deck destruction part. You would need a lot of 0 cost cards or be lucky enough to draw 1 or the combo cards with the other one as the only card in hand, all while having 10 mana.
It would actually help. Not only do you remove the board of threats, the moment you discount Mecha'thun and get Cataclysm with Bloodbloom in hand you pretty much win the game. It will shorten the game by a great deal.
The deck usually uses Hemet for this purpose, which actually helps get the Cataclysm and Mecha'thun. That being said, I was thinking that the comment meant to replace Bloodbloom + Cataclysm with Divide by Zero. In other words, you would play Mecha'thun and Divide by Zero as the last two cards in hand.
How would Calculator work if you have lethal but it requires RNG, would it still work?
It summons "Schrodinger's Cat: At the end of your turn, you have both won and lost the game."
High level nerdery going on here... love it.
Paradox is a broken card.
Paradox does not state that can't discover itself. It just says a discover a [new] card that cannot later discover paradox, so Paradox can discover Paradox... wow what a paradox.
Paradox says: Discover a Discover card that cannot Discover this spell.
So IF Paradox can discover Paradox, THEN Paradox cannot discover Paradox, as it only discovers cards that cannot discover Paradox.
On the other hand, IF Paradox cannot discover Paradox, THEN Paradox can discover Paradox, as Paradox discovers spells that do not discover Paradox.
This card idea is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, and 100% broken. Check out Russell's Paradox.
To be fair, you could mechanically handwave that Paradox just cannot Discover itself, essentially resolving the paradox. In that case, Paradox still Discovers only cards that cannot Discover Paradox - Paradox just isn't one of those cards. I imagine that such a contradiction would be referenced in the flavour text as a joke, if it were ever a real card.
I'd liken it to the mechanical handwave for the Lifesteal and Auchenai Soulpriest interaction, or the fact that you can't make a Zombeast using King of Beasts or Witchwood Grizzly.
I never noticed grizzly is never an option.
What if i told you Calculator can bypass Ice Block
