 They were talking about cards in the classic and basic set which remain every year, they arent going to nerf baku or genn, because they'll rotate to wild next year.

They may print some cards in the new sets this year to calm the edge they have maybe.

Hoping for a decent swap or copy hero powers card. But these target the hero cards or other cards with insane hero powers more. The big issue with this baku/genn is that it starts the game with an advantage. It's the Patches problem. The early game is too strong and most tech cards target mid/lategame. I'd like to see a 40 hp test version of the game, I think balance would be much better with that. At least if you like control.

So we are forever doomed to live with those two OP cards unless they do something about it.

Rotation doesn't count.

edit: If they are supposed to nerf ubiquitous Neutral cards, then they overlooked two of them...

Can we please stop whining about Baku in every single thread? It has become the Hearthpwn-equivalent of Godwin's Law.

It would be hard to imagine that these two cards will forever remain as they currently are.  The question is really when will it finally be enough for Team 5 to take some action.  I think they should do the following:

Genn: You get the 1 cost hero power if you didn't use your hero power the turn prior.  If you did, it goes back to or stays at 2.
Baku: Hero power upgrades after you use it.  When you use the upgraded power it returns to normal.  Repeat.

It still provides each Odd/Even deck type with essentially the same bonus to hero power, but without giving them the same bonus on every turn.  Might not affect some archetypes that much either.  Odd Paladin for one still has so many ways to generate multiple dudes in a turn.  Especially in Wild.

They target Neutral cards that go into the majority of decks from CLASSIC set. Neither Baku nor Genn are classic. Also, I don't even know how to respond to your counter-argument about whining which is basically of "no, you!" variety.

I'm sorry you can't think of anything, must be difficult.
