The winter playoffs conclude this weekend with the Asia-Pacific region! The top players will go on to the Winter seasonal championship coming in late February / early March.

HCT Asia-Pacific Winter Playoffs Format
- Best of Five Conquest using the Year of the Raven Standard format.
- Each player bans one of the opponent's four decks.
- Seven rounds of Swiss, top 8 to dual-tournament format.
- Two Dual Tournament groups with top 2 of each group advancing to the next stage (Winter Championship).
- Semi-finals and Finals will not be played.

It gives a nice overview of the dedication some of these players put into the game. tom's track record is unmatched, even globally, there's no one who comes close. For comparison: Kolento is second in the world with 5645 points. Although, of course, he mains EU.

"Per Blizzard’s official statement, the Chinese Taipei team uploaded a video which included evidence that they had “used the delayed tournament broadcast to aid them in a decision during the game.” This is prohibited by tournament rules, which state that “stream sniping, or any general attempt by a player to spectate his or her own match or get information from another person spectating the match” is forbidden."
This act got the whole Chinese Taipei team disqualified and they let the Singapore HGG team advance in their place to the playoff stage of the Hearthstone Global Games at BlizzCon.

Seems really odd that a known stream sniper is allowed to compete for World Championship and possibly even win it.
