Deck Talk: Theude's HyperX Control Druid
In today's episode of Deck Talk, TheChiv had Theude, one of the original EU BlizzCon Qualified participants, on the show to discuss his Druid control deck that was played at the recent HyperX tournament. The Deck is a control Druid deck that puts forth minions that have a great or a greater value then your opponent's minions. The deck uses the tried and true Ramp mechanic to accelerate the druid tempo and board state to provide you with some great options and domination. At 10960 dust, it's going to be a bit of a grind to build the deck, however, many of the Legendary cards that make an appearance here are also found in other meta decks.
Check out the deck discussion vod below where TheChiv and Theude discuss the deck in detail, or if you'd like to give the deck a shot right away, you can find that down there too.

Thanks for posting the decks
Kolento and Kaor still hiding their decks? %)
Are Greensheep's decks all named after Taylor Swift songs? *scratches head*
Still rather surprising Numberguy was running Rogue. Bet he caught a fair amount of veterans slightly offguard.
All hail the shieldmasta'
There it is:

Greensheep stared in a creepy way during his matches. Somehow makes sense: 1. It is another way to gain information during the match by checking the reactions of your opponent. 2. He can influence the plays of his opponent with distracting him and/or making him nervous (many would, surely it would make me nervous to be stared at).
So far there is no rule against it, but in my opinion it is a little bit too irritating. Maybe they should make it impossible that the players cant see each other during the matches at Blizzcon.
I disagree that they should make it impossible to see each other during the matches. It brings a whole new aspect to the tournament games, since it's the only place where they can actually "face" each other.
Yeah I like the face-to-face too, considering that M:TG tournaments are played that way. You gotta bring your poker face!
watch the deck talk and see the consistency it was amazing
If by "amazing" you mean he just threw 5783475394875348957349 legendaries into a deck with some control junk like every other oh-so creative soul does in the game, then sure. Amazing...
any one can put 7 legendary cards in a deck....But making it work is a different story.
No it isn't But what else should be expected of someone like you to say. You're just as full of yourself as the other tryhards that all play the exact same thing and say "hey look at the consistency it's amazing...sure I'm running a deck that costs $300 to build but LOOK AT IT!!!!! ARE YOU LOOKING YET? I'M SO GUD AT HEARTHSTONE THROW LEGENDARIES IN DECK WIN GAMEZ LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL".
Please. When you guys come up with something actually original and can win with it, then come talk to us about your consistency. Every deck they show us every single week is just the exact same crap they've shown us now for the last five months plus. It's newsworthy when someone can use their brain to make a deck. Not just changing two or three cards in the 758931748293753214897534895th copy of the exact same thing.
Perhaps but on deck talk we don't just focus on one end of the ladder or the game we try to provide education and enjoyment for the entirety of the Hearthstone community.
well if your buying then cool, however like most people I do have expenses, when I have enough I will do that. the mice im force to use is a cam mic and is about 2 feet, is omni directional, and has no pop filter.
Very nice druid deck. Seems like it should be a lot more consistent than usual ramp since it doesn't rely on Force of Nature/Savage Roar at all.
I have to disagree. Force+Roar is a 2 card = half your life combo, and they're good enough on their own (okay, maybe not so much for Roar if you have an empty board and desperately need to kill something asap). More than anything else, it strikes fear into your opponents heart, making them play by their seat whenever they reach the half way mark. People will play differently when facing Druid because they know they can get knocked out from out of nowhere. If people know you're not using Force+Roar, they will have better grasp of the situation and play better. You dont want your opponent to play better, do you?
