Quote from BlizzardPolish up those Totem Golems and grab a seat by the hearth with Barnes and Reno Jackson — the Hearthstone Wild Open is back for 2019!
Things are about to get Wild in the third-ever Hearthstone Wild Open because this year, the tournament is more accessible than ever. The online-only 2019 Wild Open will have qualification into playoffs via the Wild ranked ladder and boast a $30,000 prize pool split among the Top Eight.
Want to try your hand? All you have to do is place in the Top 100 for your region’s Wild ladder—doing so will qualify you to participate in playoffs held for each competitive region (Europe, Americas, Asia-Pacific). The top two players from each playoff will come together for the Wild Open Finals, with China’s finalists qualifying in directly from the Wild ranked ladder in January.
Details for deck submission and other playoff rulings will be sent to qualified players closer to the tournament. However, you’ll want to take note of the following dates:
- Wild Open Qualifiers: January 1 - 30, 2019
- Wild Open Playoffs: February 16, 2019
- Wild Open Finals: February 23, 2019
There will be no broadcast for the qualifiers or playoffs. To confirm eligibility or learn more about the tournament, check out the official rules.
Wild Open Finals
The best-of-five single elimination Conquest bracket will be played with four decks, one ban, and open deck lists. All players will compete on home soil, but we’ll be able to follow them in solidarity through the tournament broadcast.
The eight finalists for the Wild Open 2019 will walk away with the following prizes:
Placement Prize (USD) 1st $11,000 2nd $7,000 3rd - 4th $3,000 5th - 8th $1,500 Total $30,000 We’ve seen challengers from across the globe, and winners from Europe and China . . . but who will be crowned the champion the Wild this year?
Welp, I know someone who hasn't played Wild since, well, forever.
Blizzard should make more hype about this than last time. Like make it possible to buy wild cards in the normal store, and give all players one of each wild card pack.
The thing is, big priest isnt even really a tier 1 deck atm, odd rogue and even paladin are just too strong
I don´t think Big Priest is op - but it is (for a lot of players/decks) a very frustrating deck to play against and Blizz shows more and more, that they are starting to nerf cards/decks when they are frustrating to play against even if they are not op.
Yeah, Dane really should be a caster, He also has a 'Real Job' that he likely considers more important than he amazing Youtube and twitch HS channels. Maybe the job will let him off to do his real job!
dollar against a doughnut that the vast majority of decks will be priest
Yes!
Woohooo!!!
i have no idea about wild, sounds funny and it's a good oportunity to see differents things
Ok, whats wrong with my country this time? Its ok to take my preorder money, but its not ok having us on tournaments.............
Shame, real shame Blizzard
And which country that would be?
Look like russia :lul:
Russia is totally allowed to participate tho...
Ok so you are playing hearthstone on a server thats not Asia, EU, Amerika or China -_- , sucks to live on Pluto ,btw if it was an atempt at a joke it was terrible
Well if you read official rules there is a list of countries for every server that are allowed to participate, list doesn't include all countries in the world. But i have hard time coming up with a country where you have internet, have access to this website and hearthstone game is not banned, which is not on the list.
Ok guys i see that u dont have problems like many of us have actually.
Lot of players do not even know about this problem.
My country (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and many other countries are not allowed to play on official tournaments.
For unknown reason. I say Unknown cuz when we speak with blizzard support about these problem there is only one answer: Ask esport stuff. Ofc they never answer...
btw we are allowed to play every single other game thats not under blizzard
I personally playin yugioh for 10 years now, and last 5 years i have sponsored participation on european championships. Konami never asked me where i am from...
Everything we want is answer from Blizzard, why?
And yea, when we asked Blizzard suport this year can we participate on Tourstop in Italy. - Blizz answer was that we can participate BUT we are not allowed to get any points or money prize.
Dont missjudge me, ofc i like this kind of event. And finally players have much easier (not grindy) way to qualify on some major tournament.
I hope u see my point....
Welcome... Welcome! Enjoy exciting matchups like Big Priest vs Big Priest
The first tournament for a long time I am really excited for! ^.^
On one side I hope not to see Big Priest in every matchup.
On the other side I hope that Big Priest will hardcore dominate, so we will finally see some nerfs to this bs deck!
I hope Dane manages to qualify. I always liked his videos and streams.
He won't, he's not playing the op tier 1 bullshit that are even shaman or big priest. He didn't even reached legend in the last 2 or 3 months because the meta is boring between rank 5 and legend.
