The card reveal was nuts! The card itself is a litte disappointing though. I think I will experiment with it in wild anyway, but it will be just memes I guess.
Finally.... a freaking Mysterious Challenger but its a many doggos
I would have loved if he had 3 damage hp but honestly this is probably pretty good. 10 mana is also a lot but you get a lot of refill if you draw this later on via summons, secrets and discovers. Ideally you would want to play this later in the game.
Targetted HP wowow........... wait.................. there was a card that let hunter target his hero-power! & RNG-fun hero card - you can even kill yourself! Rexxar hero-card from Frozen Throne still better.
Imagine this card was printed, while Call of the Wild was still 8 mana....
Reload all your secrets. Fill your board with tons of animal companions. Possibly even kill your opponents board. This feels like Shudderwock 2.0 and possibly the most powerful battlecry we've seen.
At the very least secret hunter/Spell hunter will love this.
Your board gets cleared by hellfire. And a lot of spells have negative synergy with this.
Do you realize this is a Hunter card while Hellfire is a Warlock Spell?
think about it as a 10 mana spell that makes your hero power better , summons 5 secrets 2 animal companions 2 by my sides 2 deadly shots 2 spell stones , the 7 mana spell that kills two minions simply a bonkers card ,and if u say rexxar is better then play it after or simply play it before grind you opponent with rexxar and then use it as a finisher.
Do you realize, I'm talking about how powerful your turn 10 is? If you make a board, that is easily cleared, there's not much value to it.
5 secrets are interesting. But your board is quite weak. And some of your spells are really bad for you. You can Kill Command your face. You can Flanking Strike your own minions. It's not that great. For 10 mana your turn needs to be really powerful. And the idea of playing this and Rexxar... Lol. What is your opponent doing? Afk?
let them clear it getting 3 hoffers out of 2 animal companions and 2 by my sides is not that hard while clearing their whole board with deadly shots and the 7 mana spell that kills two minions which would lead to dealing 12 damage to the face. spell hunter is a tier 2 deck are you gonna tell me this will not push it to one?
I just wanna tell you to be more realistic. Spell Hunter doesn't wanna play Deadly Shot. Including bad cards to justify a better card is not really a great game play. Spell Hunter do want to play his Spellstone. And if you do that, you can get 1 huffer. Or maybe none. So it's unreliable. People compare it to Gul'dan. And that's so wrong. Cause that card is super reliable.
Also, crushing walls? What? Come on.
there is a card called rhokdelar i think you have heard of it , what are the odds you get a crushing walls or a deadly shot? crushing walls is a reach but deadly shot isnt it is not a bad card and i would easily put it in my spell hunter deck just for this card. One leok and 3 hoffers is 15 damage , 2 leoks and 2 hoffers is 12 damage this is out of 6 animal companions ( 2 by my sides 2 animal companions). Call of the wild at 8 mana was broken for 2 more mana you get a better hero power, 5 secrets at double call of the wild in terms of value thats +16 for double call of the wild , +10 5 secrets , and +6 for double deadly shot= 32 value card for 10 mana. There is no downside to play this card in spell hunter besides hitting your face by accident or one of the minions with kill comand. And yes ou might be thinking what are the odds i am still alive by the time i play this well yes because you play rexxar first and wait till last minute to finish oyur oponent or a case of emergency were you are about to die.
This way of thinking can be applied to every play.
Like "Why play minions, they'll probably end up destroyed"
Call of the Wild is really reliable. Here you can get 0 huffers. Even if you didn't play any Spellstones, which you did, cause you are playing secrets. And if you put deadly shot in your deck, your tier2 deck quickly becomes tier3. And you are getting crushed much faster, than turn 10. Deadly shot is a bad card and is not played competitively. And your crushing walls argument is based on another unreliable card. This really feels like Jenga in this point. I don't believe, I can convince you - sure, we all wanna be optimistic about new cards and hope the game will include them. But not all cards are like that. I seriously doubt this one.
you know what are the odds of getting 0 hoffers? that is an 8 % chance (2/3)^6. And no deadly shot is not a bad especially when you see the huge beasts that are comming out in this expansion. and even if they do what are the odds the other player has 2 or more taunts in play? just like what re the odds you have a zombeast or even other minions in play that can clear one or two taunts... the fact that you are saying this card does not make spell hunter better makes you look stubburn i rather have a 10 mana summon 6 4/4 taunt beasts than call of the wild for 8 mana.
after 2 weeks of the game comming out ill send you a message saying " told yaaa" and if that is not the case i will be expecting a message from you saying the same thing. cya in the future mate ;)
Glad we stopped on that. That's a deal. I even kinda hoping you are right, cause cards spirit is pretty cool and I like new cards as well.
Just to be clear, your math is wrong tho. It's not (2/3)^6. Cause you can't get 2 huffers from 1 to my side. So it's more like 33%, than 33% one more time, than 67% for both animal companions. So it's around 2,5% to get 0 huffers. But only if you didn't play any other minion summoning spells.
Even if it is and you could still pop on 3 or more secrets while gaining 5 armor and having a hero power that can target minions now. That isn’t bad, and that’s IF they clear board.
